I really enjoyed the game. Was messy, and for good reason. First time they've ever played with each other, second day they've known each other. Ullmark came as advertised. Kid's solid. Pace was awesome, physical and intense. The Suck Sisters and that sad style are long gone. |

When/if Ullmark makes the Sabres roster permanently in a couple of years, he needs to keep the Bowser mask. |

Good Observations . Loved Lemieux's feistiness. I think Reinhart goes back to Junior to get bigger and stronger . Leduc actually looked good Risto was a man among boys and Psyck looked calm cool and collected whenever he had the puck. |

Nope. And that's why this is going to be a tough decision. I'm not sure how much better he can get in juniors. |

Keep him in Buffalo for his 9 games (space out the games) and let him play in the world juniors where he has a chance to be a leader and go to guy on the team. send him back to Kootenay after. |

i think he sticks at least at first...i really wish they would amend that rule...at least for first round picks...they should be given an option play in the AHL ....sticks that they cant |

A few thoughts on the scrimmage:
Risto and Zads were clearly better than everyone else. Pysyk played well too, he isnt as noticeable though.
Grigorenko looked faster and more engaged in the game over last year
Reinhart didnt really stand out, but I guess thats his MO. Didnt notice Compher much either. A lot of chaos though and plays in the corners so none of the centers really stood out IMO.
Liked Fasching and Carrier all game, they played a rough style and good at protecting the puck
Armia had a few good shots and still uses his length to his advantage, especially trying to get the puck back from the other team
Lemieux is going to be a super pest. Him and Risto were hitting and jawing back and forth all night.

Russian stereotype 101.
I thought he made some really nice plays to be honest
Reinhart you can tell knows what's going to happen 2 steps ahead of everyone else
Armia looked solid, and looked skilled
Catenacci was impressive
Zadarov/Pysyk look like a good future 2nd or 3rd pairing
McCabe didn't do much
Girgensons and Ristolainen looked like they were 2 bonafide NHL'ers |

Liked Carrier and Fasching as well
Also, I did notice Compher try and get under Grigorenko's lazy super Russian bust skin, I like that he wants to go right after the other teams offensive weapons |

Agreed Risto and Zads looked head and shoulders above the rest....
Ullmark looked really good...best goalie in the system i believe....
Pysyk is the kind of 3/4 d-man man you won't notice a lot........but that's because he is quietly making the right moves and the safe plays.
Samuels-Thomas is huge, hope he can find a spot.
i noticed Compher more then i noticed Armia tonight.....Schaller might be a solid player down the line.
Lemieux will be one of the most hated players in the league a-la his old man |

On a side note, who would you project within the next 3 years as the Sabres' captain for the future (current rosters players can count too) |
