For you Dawn Braid apologists...
He [Grigorenko] also credits skating instructor Dawn Braid for helping him get his stride and technique straightened out. |

How is this even a topic. You scavengers sound like Harrington calling Pegula's employees "cronies".
Are some of us really ragging on the (frank)ing skating coach.. |

Sweet thats my biggest concern. I feel that eventually we can find a skater but to acquire a starting goalie you need to give up far too much. Plus ive been so used to having the next starting goalie ready to go out of Rochester. |

I doubt it, especially considering this organization's philosophy on younger players. |

Ullmark looked good. He was the only guy that didn't allow a goal. Johansson seemed pretty solid as well, which is good since they said when he was drafted that he was a bit of a project.
Petersen and Makarov both made some nice saves. Makarov seemed a bit out of position on the Baptiste goal though. |

Johansson made the net look small. Must be that im used to seeing Ewok in net. |

Seems to be the scouting report on him since he started playing high level hockey. He's ordinary (though not terrible) during the course, but seems to have an ability to elevate his game when the stakes really matter. |

Him and Ullmark as listed pretty much exactly the same on the roster sheet from last night. Both are 6'4." Ullmark was listed at 201lbs and Johansson was listed at 200lbs. |

Hey, if he's good enough to get you in, then I'm fine with it. I've heard that he can be wildy inconsistent but they were hoping that with higher level coaching that would happen less frequently. |

I was watching Makarov at the earlier practice and be LOVES to use the glove. Right now I'm a Makarov guy. Whats going to be fun(and yet not fun to argue about) is the goalie competition the next few years. Youre going to see a lot of different factions of fans behind different guys. |

I'm sure she's good at what she does (insert joke here). However, I'm not so sure what she does is really what can turn a good player into a great one. |

I'm sure that's correct. To be honest, I see him being a Corey Crawford type of goaltender. He's going to be good enough to earn himself a big payday at some point during his career. However, he's going to have those games where you just can't bring yourself to put him on that "elite" list of goaltenders when all is said and done.
(Yes, I used Crawford's name and not a certain goaltender that used to play here on purpose). |

I like the Crawford comparison. It's probably pretty fair. Though, I have to say, people throw the "elite" word around here far too frequently.
Besides, I don't need to have an elite goaltender. I just need to have a great TEAM. An average goalie can still get you a Cup if the rest of the pieces around him are right. |

I'm sitting in my home office with a white button down and blue jeans. There's a smelly little stain on the shirt where some of the tatziki spilled out of my gyro at lunch.

I was hoping that some of the guys that really matter would be the ones to score. Only Baptiste seemed to be able to bury one. |

Agreed..Wont be for prolly another 2 years. He was just playing like steve ott taking runs and chirping. offensively he didn't do a thing almost looked hard to play with running around. I like him but the two times he took runs at risto he was looking at the lights |
