It's the season for optimism .....like I said his game has holes and he needs time yet....but I think we got two studs last year toss in Pysyk and the top 1/2 of our future D looks to be very bright

He has the talent, I'm not sure that he will be a consistent top defensemen though. In juniors when he had to log a ton of minutes, his decision making wasn't the greatest.... However he could have been fatigued

The good thing is he still has a good amount of time to iron out those kinks. Knew he was going to be a bit of a project but he has the size and talent to be really good.

I'm a tad surprised no comment was made about my late night comment last night.

I only noticed a few things from Pysyk and they were pretty much all just short little outlet passes. But that's what his forte is. His highest ceiling is a #2 guy. But I think he's really going to be a 3/4 guy. Probably about 20 mins a night. 1st PK unit, 2nd PP unit.

His game is quiet and simple...he makes the smart safe play rather then trying to force it....we are in agreement 3/4 two way Dman....he will be very valuable.

They are not going to Traverse City this year from what I was told by someone in the know. So expect a rookie camp with guys signed to their pro contracts and some AHLers used as fillers to make 2 teams.

My guess with a totally new coaching staff (once they get one) they want time with their players in a more camp like setting.
