I have been watching a bit of WWII stuff in the last few months

Not to sound unpatriotic, but they should have won that half of the war, if not for stupidity on their part

no chance Japan was going to beat us once Midway was won

Agreed...but had midway swung the other way... And the us took the carrier losses that Japan sustained they had free run to Hawaii and it would have crippled us at least for a long time
