Gus had chances and he jut never excelled at anything in particular. He needed to control the puck and move it out of the zone to offset his lack of effectiveness along the boards. He didn't do that enough. Last year was a mess for him and I feel for him as a player but there isn't a place for him now nor is there going to be down the line with the Flyers. He did the right thing for himself. Maybe time in the KHL will be good for him.

Looks like still no collision detection for sticks... it's never going to pass the 'omg, that's not a real game on TV?' test if sticks are just passing through guys bodies and you don't see players maneuvering their twigs realistically around obstacles.

Shooting animations still look wooden as hell too.

Yeah, that part of the game always looked iffy. This is the first year on the new consoles so maybe that will get worked out next year. The stadiums and crowds look absolutely stunning though. For me that makes a huge difference in the realism factor.

That's why he didn't get a job last season but he's played a full season last year so he's back. Gagne didn't play at all.. anywhere. He could have played on an AHL contract. Boucher did it and got a couple more NHL yrs out of it.
