imho = in my humble opinion.

That makes Less sense

Humble - having or showing a modest or low estimate of one's own importance

(frank) Beezer....I hate that Rag wiener......Hated Clarke for signing him over CUJO and I hated him even when he open the season with 3 straight SOs
- KINGKENZO

i hated his terrible armadilla hat and chrome paint job and john brown mattress pads. i would have preferred joseph as well, even though JvB played quite well for them.

what i'm saying is "it's only my opinion, and of course, i could be wrong". that's why it's humble.

osgood was better than his reputation of being an average goalie. he's got over 400 wins, some cups..that doesn't happen if you're average and being saved by your team over the length of career he had. he dragged the isles to the playoffs. he was solid wherever he went. upper echelon? i suppose not..but he was just never a sexy name. it's a bit unfair.

It reminds me a lot of the conversations you hear or pieces you read in the NFL about which QBs are "elite" and which are not.

i disagree about bernier, miller, and luongo. schneider might be better, but not by much. he really doesn't have much of a track record yet to show that.
- hammarby31

Mason has a track record that isn't very good though. One season doesn't wash away the 5 years prior to coming to Philly. Miller and Luongo in my opinion are easily better then Mason just by track records alone. Luongo has a pretty recent Stanley Cup Final appearance and a Gold Medal. Miller sky rocketed the Blues until hitting a road block against a top 2 team in the league in Chicago in the playoffs.

But that is what makes an opinion an opinion. It is a judgement you made not necessarily based on facts or knowledge. The basis of an opinion is that it is not a fact and can be wrong.

Does the fact that the Blues chose to walk away from Miller not sway your opinion of his play a bit?

mason is ahead of crawford and smith without question, imho. he's as good as bob, and rinne. i'd have quick and rask at the top with csp and price below them. and really, he's capable of matching anyone of these goalies in a playoff series. out of that list, crawford and quick are the only ones with cups, and quick is the only that deserves them.
- hammarby31

Not picking on you but Mason is not as good as Rinne. Wasn't Rinne nominated for the Vezina not long ago? Smith I don't think is better then Mason, simply because he was selected to the Olympics and Phoenix isn't that good of a team to begin with. Smith keeps that team's head over water.

Humble opinion=I won't dogmatically argue until you agree with me because I consider it also a valid opinion to disagree

- aflyerpower8

Nope. Because Miller played for a crappy team in Buffalo for years prior and still played well. Now Miller has a chance at redeeming himself with the Canucks, a hole left behind by Luongo. I think Miller has a huge opportunity to reestablish himself by filling Luongo's skates.

He does, but the mere fact that he has to reestablish himself tells me his play dropped off. Based on last year, Miller is not in my top ten goalies.

And look at what that has gotten us!

EDIT: Does drinking out of the cup with a straw count for touching?

If its the same size as the picture above, then its too small. It would need to be one of those loopy straws or a comically oversized regular straw.

Mason has to reestablish himself too. Yes, Mason has had a solid season with the Flyers but that's one season. Steve Mason now has to do it again. If he can't, he's included in a very long list of goaltenders who couldn't get the Flyers over the hump.
