Let's not forget injuries....this is why the Sabres should look at signing two defensemen, perhaps someone like Mar Fraser to play with Pysyk on the third pairing, or Tallinder to play with Myers or Risto when he comes up from Rochester when the team has injuries on defense.

Anybody think that Joe Finley would be a good swing man to have in Rochester to come up to Buffalo....I think he is available.....a big body who can at least skate.

Also, is there anybody that Nolan saw in Europe that he would like to bring over here? Other teams seem to be doing so, why not Buffalo?

Goal scoring wasn't there issue though. It was defense.

They overpaid for them no doubt, but they got 2 guys that will play 200ft and battle.

Personally id be shocked if the Isles pick ended up top 5

That franchise is in a bad way.

They don't have any stars, they have very few prospects to get pumped about, they constantly suck.

Sorry Michael.. Sure Risto could play in Rochester next year and be the number 1 guy but I think he will ultimately get the shot up in Buffalo and for good reason because he has simply dominated this off season... We'll see what he does in training camp but I'd be very shocked to see him sent down.
