I wonder if waiting until the off season gets them better deals. Lee needs to prove he can still pitch.
They need to total top to bottom rebuild. Imagine if they had not signed Howard. They could still have an outfield of Pence, Victorino, and Werth.
They never should have resigned Rollins. Even the Utley resigning was questionable even though he is having a decent year.
Sadly they are stuck with some monster contracts which they will have to ride out to the end.

I think they'd get better offers now. Teams are more desperate |

I'm hoping (after that poor showing last night) Lee gets back to his old self and gets dealt in August. |

Sums up my thoughts exactly.. Although I'm not so sure they would have/should have paid out what Werth wanted, but either way. Re-signing Rollins at his age, for what they did was completely questionable... Utley, although I love the guy, is on the downswing of his career... and yes.. Howard's contract just blows everything out of the water. He wasn't worth that to begin with, imo, let alone now being hurt all the time. And it's essentially untradeable at this point, unless you're looking for no return... |

Maybe, no, maybe, Maybe, no, No, maybe, no.
Lee isn't helping anyone. Rollins isn't an upgrade on almost any contending team at shortstop or DH.
My opinion is that none of these players are worth giving up legitimate assets for. Phillies are having a yard sale of junk that no one wants. |

I'm not hoping for anything. I don't want the usual letdown. I'm assuming no one gets dealt and RAJ tells us this team is close and will all be back next season |

They're valuable. Just overpaid. Phillies can eat some money and get a better prospect |

Find it comical what rival fans try to come up with to "rile us up".
From the site:
On July 2, 2014, Philadelphia Flyers captain Giroux was arrested for repeatedly grabbing the ass of a male police officer and spent the night in jail. We never did find out if he finally got any once he was in the cell. One thing is for sure though, ever since that night, he has been the butt of a ton of jokes!
Get in on the Flyers bashing with this awesome t-shirt that is sure to anger every whiny Flyers fan you know! This shirt is a must have for any Penguins, Rangers, or Devils fan! - bgratch

If Snider owned the Phillies, they would have a less awful win/loss record, historically speaking. |

I guess, I just don't think most of them are valuable at all.
Hamels probably has the most value. Lee could be done, he certainly isn't ready yet. He needs to show he can still pitch in this league, in the meantime, he is worthless. The rest of them are too old and don't produce. Marlon Byrd may get you a middlin' prospect. Burnett is 37 and has a career of inconsistency. Rollins flat out stinks.
I just don't see teams giving up valuable assets for players that really aren't upgrades over what they already have.
