You should mail it to me. I'll have it framed for you.
Worst jersey in Flyers history compounded by one of their more hideous trade acquisitions. |

I still haven't forgiven him for being the other end of the Brind'amour trade.
I don't despise him the way I despise(d) Mike Bullard, but I've never managed to warm up to him. - Doc_Sarcasm
Keith Primeau was probably one of the most head scratching players in recent Flyers history. Not because he was a bad player, he obviously wasn't but here are the reasons why I feel this way.
1) We traded for him while he was holding out from the Carolina Hurricanes who also was their Captain at the time. Rod Brind'amour spent the first half of that season hurt but there was no reason to believe he wouldn't continue to be a good player once he was able to return. In my mind, any player that held out (Alexsi Yashin, Antson Carter and Eric Lindros come to mind) while not uncommon were looked down upon. This to me wasn't a sign of leadership but selfishness (Of course Lindros wasn't about money).
2) It really wasn't that long after we picked up Keith Primeau that we named him Captain when players like Mark Recchi and John LeClair might have been ahead of him as far as skill and seniority went. |

Over in my area they're selling these jersey's but I'm waiting for the price to continue to drop. I'll buy one sooner or later. I'm just thinking to myself. Do I wanna get a Primeau, Roenick, Amonte, Gagne or Forsberg? |

Always liked him.
Didn't get much of a chance to further develop post that Tampa run. The D he had to play behind after that was pretty bad. |

He didn't do himself any favors. I would have gone with Bob Froese, but Reverend Bob couldn't win a playoff game to save his life |

Think I read somewhere he had depression few years back?
Google search tells me he is the GM for Vancouver's AHL team. |

I thought we were closer to winning a cup in 2004 than we were in 2010. As crazy as that sounds. Flyers were decimated with injuries and still only loss by a goal in game 7 to Tampa. If we would have won that series. No doubt we beat Calgary. Same thing with 2000, Lindros doesnt go down and we win the cup. - GOA88
Bettman wouldnt allow any team north of the Mason Dixon line to win in 2004 when he was busy justifying expansion 10 years after no TV deal. Any time I talk to someone from Canada and mention 04 finals Game 6 Flames- Lightning everyone is still angry the Flames got hosed. We were hosed too in the semis when the Lightning were getting away with murder. |

Bob Froese is a pastor in a town near Buffalo, unless you mean Robert Esche.
EDIT: yeah, Esche |

Speaking of bank robbers, there's a big difference between the professional criminal and the drug addict derelict note passer. Funny story, back in the day, before a lot of security measures were put in place, one of the ways bank robbers would attack night depositories, was to attach a chain to the door, and then to a vehicle with a sturdy bumper. Rip the night drop head out of the wall, and then just reach down into the safe and take out the deposits. Well this one group of rocket scientists tried to do it with just a regular car and bumper. When they attached the chain on both ends, and tried to reip the head out, it simply ripped the bumper off of the car. Well they panicked and took off and just left the chain and bumper there. Well guess what was still attached to the bumper? - MJL

Esche way under rated and also a boy from the historic hockey area of the EHL Clinton Comets and the Clinton arena (if its still standing) I remember him stopping 42 ? shots against the Russians in the IIHF games that year and losing, man that was sad
Read the book about the Comets and you will be amazed who actually was the GM and how players moved up through there.... and the old AHL Cleveland Barons

Ok maybe I exaggerated. But seriously the banter about the guy in here you'd think the guy is a lock for the hall of fame

I think there is some sentimental feelings at play for the player. Nothing wrong with that. But he was a very good player for a lot of years as a Flyer.

I'm a little young for the Cup teams. I was aware of hockey and aware that the Flyers won the Cup in back to back years, but my Flyer fandom really began the year we got Stickled in the SCF.
Thus, my favorite Flyers tend to be from the 80's teams. Basically everyone who played for the Flyers in the 80's who wasnt named Linseman or Bullard was someone I actively liked. |
