Dont get me started on Schenn. I have been preaching that we need to deal him now while he still has trade value. I honestly cant see him being any better than maybe a 50-55 point player. That isnt good enough for a 2nd line center. - GOA88
He's also only 22. I think he will get better, if they get him complimentary linemates and leave him in one spot. |

Colorado also got O'Reilly re-signed before arbitration.
EDIT: 2 years, $6mm AAV |

Exactly, the guy was all over the lineup last year. Let he play in the same position with the same 2 other players for a few months before writing him off. |

I don't particularly like him with Simmonds. I'd like to see him play with Voracek, myself, or Read |

I gess then I don't see him helping much more on the top line then where he does now. Propular are not but i don't see a top line guy. If Giroux and Voracek are staying together you need someone a little more physicall and shooter first I think. - J35Bacher
I think he could be a 30 goal, good two way winger on the first line.
Also, I'd be splitting Giroux and Voracek. |

55 points would put you in the top 30 scoring centers in the league. 50 points would make you the 40th highest scoring center in the league.

50-55 points is absolutely good enough for a 2nd line center. |

Nonsense. He's 22, and will likely never get any better. I mean, just look at JvR. Dude stagnated at 21. |

I think it's 7 NHL seasons after the new contract expires which means UFA. |

7 Accrued NHL seasons or 27 years of age. Whichever comes first. So I think you're right, he'll be a UFA when his deal expires. |

His numbers in the 12/13 lockout shortened season prorated to 67 points over a full 82 game season. - MJL

Do yourself a favor and look around the NHL at full season stats for teams. You'll find that 50-55 point totals for a 2nd line center is a good total. For instance, last season, there were 27 Centers in the entire League who scored 55 or more points. There are 30 teams in the League. - MJL
Would you think that Schenn lived up to the hype if thats all he becomes?
Vinny has been the 2nd line center on Tampa for years. Playing behind Richards or Stamkos. 70 pt guy |

Depends on perspective. I didn't expect him to be the Lecavalier of old. All he has to do is play as well as he can, and provide 2nd line offense. If he can score 25 goals and 25-30 assists, what's wrong with that? Not expecting him to be a top line player anymore. |

Hype is just hype. I think he can be a 60 point player in this league at some point. That's a solid player. And hopefully he makes gains in his all around game. |

I certainly hope so. Cause if he doesnt... who will??? We wont have that 1-2 punch at center that most cup teams have. |
