Probably not. But Mason did, proving he was able to shoulder the workload as a full season as the #1. Let's see if Bernier and/or Schneider can put up those same numbers over 60+ games.

And Cammalleri was the Habs best offensive player before the 2010 ECF, leading them in scoring.

All I'm saying is, Cammalleri has produced in important spots before. He's a PPG player in the playoffs and has been a key member of playoff teams in the past. He was stuck on a bad team in Calgary the past few seasons, but he's put up points when it mattered.

A few less, sure. But if you increase Schneider's workload by 15-20 games, maybe he can't handle it and fades. I'm not saying it WILL happen, but let's see him actually do it at least once in his career before assuming he'll handle a 60+ game grind. Is that fair?

Both are wonderful. Although my time in Alaska was limited to two weeks on a basically uninhabitable island next to Sarah Palin's back yard

Not sure he has to be THE GUY in NJ. As long as he can help them win 4 or 5 more games, they're probably in the playoffs. He puts up points and with the number of one goal games they lost last year (0-12 in the shootout), he will likely improve them.

Well that's all I was getting at. You can't take a 25 or 30 game sample and simply expect it to stay constant over a 60+ game season. Hey, he may come in and win the Vezina. He may come in and put up pedestrian numbers. I can't say either way until he does it.

I'm not sure they'll be in. Remember, the Flyers had an absolutely abysmal start, so if they can win 3-4 more of those games, they're the #2 seed last year. So if we assume them both winning a few extra games this year, then they're a wash wrt each other. They could be in the mix, but I still wouldn't put them above a low 3 seed/wild card contender.

I think the Flyers pretty much stayed the same in terms of being a good team and the Devils will be better. I think Columbus and the Isles will be better. Who knows, if the Caps buy into Trotz they could be a good sleeper.

Also, they need to take that 2nd line right winger off of their second pair. I like that they've tried him at defense, but he just is awful defensively.

If I'm a Devils fan, I'd be more concerned that last years highest scorer turns 43 in February and the runner up is 38. M-Cam may help, but that has to be a concerned. I also think that their D corps is average at best.
