I see you're posting from the 09/10 season. - jmatchett383
I'm not big on halak. He will never get any better then hr is now and he will only get more injury prone but mason might get better. Every team has an area that you can look at and go ouch lol |

We are all forgetting this is the mcdavid draft. My prediction is the pens finish 30th lol Crosby's neck injury miraculously comes back forces him to sit out this season - blizzzard
I figured a Flyers fan would have posted that post. Good luck with your team of "misfit toys." The Pens will be just fine. |

No, the pens could win the cup and still get awarded the first overall pick to use on McDavid - ncflyer27613
And there it is. Flyers better hope Mason doesn't implode and that Giroux steps grabbing guys asses or Philly may be selecting 1st overall. |

Really? Are you upset ? Lol its the internet if that upsets you maybe you shouldnt be on it as it was clearly a joke and I will have fun because I love watching hockey lol I don't need my team to win every year for me to be happy lol I have a life outside of this and hockey. |

Isles way too low. And Philly way too high. Halak > Mason, Isles D > Flyers D, Isles O and Flyers 0 are close, especially after Hartnell for Umberger (another atrocious trade from the Flyers). - isles10289
Every one of your > is a question mark at best. Last year, Flyers D>Isles D, Mason>Halak, and the Flyers O was significantly better than the Isles. |

Martin Brodeur has only had an above league average sv% 4 times in his career. - BINGO!
So, you're saying he's the product of a ridiculously effective, ratings killing, now outlawed defensive system? interesting. |

Whoa...who's upset?!? Are you kidding me. Take your anxiety medication and settle down.
You were the one making the crack about finishing last bud. The Pens worry about finishing first because we do. We have higher expectations than the playoffs. I can only assume your dig about McDavid was due to Crosby and in that case get over it.
Believe me I love hockey but trolling hockey sites stirring up stuff is not my life. The Pens got Crosby, fans of other teams are upset, and then you get these whiny posts about the Pens. The Devils will be a decent team but instead of writing about that you had to hate on the Pens. Quit trolling and enjoy the competition. |

Not sure how things will pan out, but I really like that the canes subtracted more than they added. I won't speak for any other teams, but I think the canes season goes as Eric Staal goes. If for some reason he catches fire, Cam plays average hockey, and the kids they bring up slot in well. I think they can win enough to be in the playoffs, probably as a wild card. That being said their addition by subtraction could go the opposite way and put them in the McDavid sweepstakes which I wouldn't have a problem with at all. It's time for Boychuck, McGinn, Rask to show what they have to offer at the NHL level and it's a bit of an unknown. I think they'll either bomb or be middle of the pack in the division. I either want playoffs or a top 2 pick anything between that would be par for the course since 2009, which is unacceptable. |

I understand that, but do you not think expecting significant improvement in every aspect of your team while expecting the other team to be stagnant or worse is asking for a lot? |

I don't know, G can play well while still grabbing ass, the two aren't mutually exclusive. But I think he does need to graduate to punching engaged players in the back of the head and nut shots to really be elite.
Speaking of goalies and imploding...
The Pens D has had a bit of a makeover, has a bit of a question mark with Letang, and better hope Maata doesn't come back down to earth in his second season. |

I think their blueline does look pretty damn good though, even with Scuderi. Ehroff was a godsend.
Should've been our godsend imo |

Yup. We'll see. I'm ready for the season to start to test all these predictions. I really have no idea what to expect from the Flyers this year, but I'm looking forward to the games. |

Still have the depth up front, defense will be just as good, and there is still Hank. Im not saying they will win the division, im just saying I dont see this dropoff that everyone sees coming. The Rangers will finish 2nd or a point or two in third. I will say this though, if the Penguins need some adjusting with new staff and such the Rangers are capable go take it.
This is fun though, approximately 45 days away from camp and we are all getting our competitive juices going. For all we know it could end up like this:
NYI
CAR
CMB
NJD
WAS
NYR
PITT
PHI |

Seems to be too much credit for Columbus based on their 1st round showing last year.
Their 1st line center is still Dubinsky, right? - StargateSG1
Columbus gets more credit for losing to the Penguins in 6 games than the Rangers do for actually beating the Penguins in 7 games. |

I know the predictions are all in good fun, but there's a case to be made for every team, even Carolina. The Isles were good two years ago and looked on their way. Carolina has a new regime in charge of talented players. Columbus looked strong last year. A solid year from Giroux and the young guys stepping up puts Philly right in it. Pittsburgh is Pittsburgh. The only team I have reservations about are the Rangers. Anyone could put it all together and take the division. Hope it's Pitt! |

full season of Martin St. Louis, the addition of Dan Boyle, Ryan McDonagh will be a Norris finalist, Lundqvist will be a Vezina finalist.
The Rangers didn't win the division last year only because they started off so poorly, one of the best teams in league after Christmas, it wasn't just in the playoffs. |

I think they do now because of the off season for two reasons. Lack of down time, and player acquisitions. |
