Chris Campoli and Marc Andre Bergeron were rocks on that blue line.
That's a bottom feeder that Nolan got to the playoffs - sbroads24
They had a few guys overachieve, but that's what Nolan is good for. He's proven that.
So, hockeybuzz posters, who is/are this year's Buffalo Sabres overachievers?
I'm going with:
Chris Stewart. |

Well first thing you learn in management courses on your way to a business degree in University is . The role of a good manager is to surround yourself with the right people and work yourself out of a job . Because you are not needed . Maybe Ted believes in that philosophy.
Ted is here for now I really do not understand why people are getting so worked up over it . If we want to tank for McEichel . Maybe then having him as coach is the right move?

I don't think people discussing it here are all worked up over it. I am just writing about it and I have no strong feeling whether he's the coach one way or the other. I just discuss issues and state my reasoning and often it's not popular. I don't discuss beliefs that most believe because what fun is discussing those? |

I have a feeling we see a new Foligno.
If we don't he should be moved IMO |

I had high hopes for him and still have some. He was reportedly injured, a shoulder, so this could be a make or break year. |

We have, imo, five 20+ goal guys this year, barring trades and/or injuries (Staff, Stewart, Hodge, Ennis and Matty Mo).
That's 3 more than last year I believe.

I think he does have a bounce back year |

I have said for a while that he has all the same skills as Wayne Simmonds, just needs to be around talent and not forget he's a net crasher.
He has the size and hands to score 20 goals |

I would love to see Patty get 10 ! I don't think he is in future plans here . But maybe he can land somewhere else by having a good year.

He had a stint at centre (can't remember if it was this year or last) where while he wasn't scoring all that well, he was playing a pretty good puck possession game and was one of our better two way forwards.
I'd like to see how he could in that role again this year but with so many centres in the organization now I doubt he ever gets the chance. |

I think Kaleta is Barnaby 2.0 with Nolan as coach.
Just a hunch. I loved Barnaby on the Sabres and hated him every where else. Thats what PK could become. Definitely a rat. But a rat that gets you off your game and then ends up scoring a goal. Im all for that. Just get rid of the cheap shots.....and dont punch garage doors.
Stewart or Staff having breakout years? Sounds good.....prime trade material. foligno is young and i have no doubt he'll figure it out.
