If Craig Rivet is on your all-time overrated team, your franchise is a joke. - CaptainRivet
Hes probably not even the most over rated Craig weve ever had |

when nbc sports advertise sabre games on tv, who will they mention?
esp if sam does not make the big club - homiedclown
Tyler......Myers...over and over and over again. Like they have for a few years.
Actually I bet if guys like Pysyk and Ristolainen are playing, they focus on our youth |

Why would they mention Tyler Myers ? Everyone knows Mezaros makes him expendable .

My Aunt knows an employee who has worked for the Sabres for 30+ years and he was asked about how Murray was and he said "He's a loser"
Some people don't like change...... Homer's source was a Ruff guy |

Exactly.
I said this last blog, but I feel I want to repeat it:
This is all BS.
It's a month after the draft. 3 weeks after free agency. 6 weeks after the season ended, and that goes for other leagues, too, where Teddy might have had guys on his target list, still in the playoffs perhaps.
Not to mention Nolan was over at the world championships.
Murray said Nolan's been interviewing, and that sh!t takes time. 2nd interviews, etc. Now he's talking contract.
The conspiracy theorists on this site...
This is an N. H. L. COACHING JOB for a well respected - despite the record - franchise with outstanding owners, the top farm system around, top facilities, all the fixins!
Stop, just stop with the "no one wants to work here" crap.
It's not true.
When they announce the assistants, I think we'll be very happy with who they got.
To add to that today, this isn't a shot at Homer, who obviously has(d) a source close to the Sabres. But like you said, broads, his source was a Lindy guy. |

Kind of unrelated, but he's also the guy that told Jordan "There's no I in team", to which Jordan responded, "but there's an I in Win". - buffalofan19
Without Phil, I'm not sure he wins one let alone 6.
Phil made him a team player. |

not to mention all the players he (phil) made ten times better. Steve Kerr on the FIll in the Blanks never hits the radar. Phil is just the kinda of guy who will get the best out of his players |

I am convinced a certain number of Sabre fans will never be happy unless they can create drama and insinuate they know better than who we have in place . If these parties know so much why are they not working for an NHL franchise . The NHL finds outstanding talent as Shanahan seems to have found his new boy wonder in Toronto . Nolan has not even failed yet and people are trying say he should be shown the door as he is not and X's and O's guy . Give me a break . When it is time to bring in the right coach to take this team to the next level . I am sure TM will have no problem firing Nolan . And Pegula will have no problem giving him a golden parachute that somehow keeps him affiliated with the franchise.
Why all this need for drama ? It is not time to panic yet.

Nobody has said that today. The people who mentioned that he has weak areas have simply said it as a reason why they're concerned that assistant coaches have not been hired. That's it. It's people like you that are blowing what the rest of us have said all out of proportion. I actually even mentioned once that I didn't have a problem with Nolan being the coach here. I just wish they had filled out the staff already. |

I am convinced that some Sabres fans think they are "professors" on message boards and expect everyone to take in what they say as the only truth on them and utitilize the banking method of teaching. They deposit, we reiterate everything they say as the only truth. They facilitate the drama here if others do not walk lock step with everything they believe. I'm not a Nolan fan, I like a coach to be more than just a motivator. I do not think he'll be here during the future glory days. Too much drama for ya? |

In Max's defense, he's not the only one that's sick of the conspiracy theorists on here (revert back to last blog comments and some comments on here today).
To actually come out and say "no one wants to work under Nolan..." is just plain BS, I don't care who has sources.
Homer's source, for instance, may not like Nolan or is a Ruff guy, perhaps. |
