ok so you are bringing up a guy that has been retired 15 years to make your point? pretty dumb.
How about Pietrangelo, Karlsson and Mcdonaugh. They make 4.7-6.5. no cap circumventing.
I hope PK wrangles every cent out of the habs. 9, 9.5 whatever. Highest paid d-man in league history and the guy is top 10 at best - GardinerExpress
PK does get into your heads, doesn't he? |

That's their current ages - they have played a year or 2 already off their deals at 24/25
Pk at 25 is about to sign a new deal
Once people can understand that then the pk bridge contract will make more sense |

Watch out could get banned for that. I'm pretty sure some people got banned yesterday for making clitsome jokes. - JVR_42_PK81
It's about staying on topic. Nowhere in Ek's blog was Reimer or any Leaf mentioned. |

all this talk of Subban getting 9 million plus a year is crazy.
He should end up with a contract like Doughty has, something like 7 million a year. If he wants to be like Crosby, give him 7.6 million a year so it matches his number. |

All 3 players you just named signed straight out of entry level, resulting in 4 of their 7 year contracts being RFA years. PK's last contract was essentially what he signed when in the same position as those players.
Now he's only 2 years away from UFA.
The point I've been making for 3 posts, and the reason I went to the extreme measure of bringing up Gretzky to try and drive home a point, is you're comparing contracts that aren't being signed in the same career or monetary situations, it's useless.
A TV used to cost $200, now they're $1000. |

Those contracts were given in different situations. How much do you think Tavares will make in his next contract ? Less than Crosby? |

Great player. So dynamic. But imo one cant be considered a top 5 defenceman unless theyre just as dominant in their own end.
He isnt that just yet - hugefemale dog77
top 5 is a stretch and i don't think he's in there.
you're right about being dominant in his own zone--he's not, at all. but i do get a kick out of people talking about him being a defensive liability. |

Another issue is coaching and how PK feels about the current coaching situation Montreal. We saw last year and the plows how PK grew frustrated by his playing time or situation she was being put into
um, what? |

"I know it is it is a debatable point, but in my opinion he's one of the top five defenseman the NHL" - Eklund
Chara
Weber
Doughty
Pietrangelo
Keith
Suter
All substantially better d-men than Subban... You could even throw in Karlsson, OEL, and Seabrook who I'd take over PK. I'd say he's in the Top 10 at the most.
That said, he's still worth $8MM/yr at this point. |

Words of wisdom from one of the greatest poster on HB
They are haters of the Habs. They will always exist, because any team with the history that the Habs have, regardless of their struggles since 1993, will promote jealousy. These comments and such, are the result of that. |
