This is a really (frank)ing cool picture. Richie has won everywhere he can. Incredible. - Giroux_Is_God
That's Carter's haul although I don't think Richards would be much different. |

They're the same, essentially -- they won WJC gold together
(For the record, that WJC team they won with has long been noted as the best WJC team ever, with these notables):
Shea Weber
Braydon Coburn
Dion Phaneuf
Brent Seabrook
Jeff Carter
Mike Richards
Patrice Bergeron
Sidney Crosby
Ryan Getzlaf
Corey Perry
Andrew Ladd
Clarke MacArthur |

I think the difference is Carter has a U18 that Richie doesn't have, while Richie has a Memorial Cup that Carter doesn't have |

Ok, the first picture was cool.
This is the single, douchiest picture ever.
Right up to and including the tattoo, which I believe is the ancient Asian symbol for "bag filled with douche". |

Damn...doing a little research, here are a few of the guys who got cut from that WJC team:
Mike Green
Dave Bolland
Kyle Quincey
Eric Fehr
and, one-time Flyers defenseman...Alexandre Picard |

Damn...David Price just got flipped to the Tigers in a three-way deal with Seattle
I'll post details in a second
EDIT: Looks like it's this:
Austin Jackson will go to the Mariners, per a tweet from Jon Heyman of CBSSports.com, with Nick Franklin and Drew Smyly heading to Tampa, according to Bob Dutton of the Tacoma News Tribune (via Twitter). |

I like Recchi but the ease in which players make it into the HOF is pretty weak. - Flyersgod
Just unbelievable the amount of HOF that have graced the ice in Philly. |

Last season the Cap was 64.3M. This season it is 69M. You call it a MJL hypothetical, well I'll educate you on something here. Whenever you're dealing with the Cap in the future, it is a hypothetical. Because so much is unknown. With the biggest unknown being what the Upper limit will be for the 15/16 season. Clearly what is being seen here is a common case of cap panic among the fanbase. - MJL
The only really tricky part with the cap is figuring out how much the owners will try to claw back when the next CBA expires. When that happens again, teams will have their couple compliance buyouts again. Otherwise, it's really not tough to predict that it's going up roughly $4-5 M per year until then and be close to being spot on. We've got about 10 years under the cap system now, so there's plenty of data to base reasonable projections on. A par player, the cap divided by 22 roster spots, is a bit over $3 M . . . and that's about what 15 goal a year guys are getting.
I'm certainly not cap panicked because I think this is a transition year anyway. My biggest concern is the team is built sort of backwards. The top scorers up front will have peaked out offensively by the time the prospect defensemen will be up to speed. That means we're likely some ways away from serious cup contention. |

Yea, another lockout is inevitable. I think that's spot on. But I could see it going up even more then that as the full effects of the new tv contract kicks in.

That discussion was about Chicago and their situation. As far as the Flyers are concerned. If the right move to trade for a defenseman, or as a UFA presents itself, they have to make it. They can't afford to sit back and wait. |

Exactly. Gillick was the mastermind there.
Amaro....all I can think of when McCrosky has the mic still on, so Striker can still hear him, and he says to his partner in the air traffic control tower, "Just route em into Lake Michigan! ...avoid killing innocent people..."

Numerous reports say #Astros have traded Jarred Cosart to #Marlins.
Phillies traded him as part of package for Pence. Now he will torment us for years. |
