Frankly, I don't believe the Toronto market is that much in love with the Bills. There is a base here, no question, but I think they would be better served trying to procure an expansion franchise that the locals can call their own. Leave the Bills where they are and create a new identity for a Toronto NFL property. - Old Pappy
Like you said though, there is a base there? Would that base switch to the "new franchise" or would the stick with the Bills due to the history? |

In theory that's the best idea IMO, I just don't think the NFL would want to expand at the moment. They have the perfect balance at 32 teams...16 teams in each conference 4 teams in each division. But at the end of the day money talks and if someone wants to pony up the NFL would make it work. |

Having worked in sport retail in the past there seems to be 3 types of Canadien fans as a whole.
1. Love the old guard - Oak/Pitt etc
2. Love the colors- lots of MIa Sea etc
3. WHoever the in team is NE/Sea/SF etc |

Seem to have a dam good rotation going forward - hubie
we traded Peavy and Doubront but the Sox need to look a bit ahead after their WS win last year. If we can re-sign Lester, and have Bucholz and Lackey going, we'll be fine moving forward. |

Some of the reports I've heard:
* Not that many bids likely because the Commish was very clear about restrictions on the sale - this is not a sell and move deal.
* JBJ guys' approach would be simply to get control of the team and then see what is possible down the line - i.e., there is an out clause (2017 or 2019?) with a much reduced cost to break the lease.
* They have looked at possible sites in Mississauga
* They would be prepared to keep the team there if nothing works out

If you lived though Reggie and Eck or Big Mac and Jose then I can see why. Even if you knew the Tim Hudson WNY ties you could be a fan |

I'm not quite sure how I would feel if Pegula owned both the Bills and the Sabres. For many years there was this separation between ownership of both teams, Wilson on one end and the Knox brothers on the other. Both teams had their own identity from that standpoint. It would just seem kinda odd that one guy will own both. - mhp
And with that model we have zero Championships, save the AFL Championships in 64-65... I would just hope that Pegula learned his lessons with the Sabres debacle in keeping Regier and depending how the Bills do this year remove most if not all of Wilson's Front office ...hopefully Pegula has a plan in place to bring in well established Football minds. |

They were in a tough spot with Lester, couldn't get a deal done with him so a trade had to happen. Yes, it's been a throw away year for the Sox. Frankly, I expected it after last season. |

I believe the NFL will eventually be in Toronto, it just won't be the Bills. If this does happen the Toronto franchise will have to pay Terry money to come into his neighborhood. We’re not talking chump change either. There is some of his money back right there, not that he needs it. - jzabawaj

Both are extremely overrated. Yeah I said it!
Question: Do the Bills go to the highest bidder? Or are there other considerations? I don't think anyone would top Terry if that was the case.. |

I think they're trying to remove it? When I click it I can see the article behind, but a popup comes up that when I dismiss it I can't get to the article anymore.
EDIT: NM, just behind a paywall...

I actually wrote an extensive email to him. I've never felt compelled to do that before until I saw his utter hack job at thinking he knows anything about Buffalo sports. |
