dude...good point...that's one stacked group...
being a glass-half-full kinda guy, i'll say this...if baptiste can crack that lineup, the sabres have a helluva prospect in the system - Michael Pachla
Absolutely. I think he fell victim to being part of an incredibly stacked group trying out this year, Baptiste now could probably have a legit shot at cracking last years team. |

Nobody said anything about the prospects, just confusion over the wording of your post. - Sabresfan-365
I apologize for not stating it the correct way for some of you! My fault |

said this before, the fact that murray signed a third round pick from the previous regime speaks volumes |

The Sabres' RW depth looks much better than it did last year, that's for sure. |

Much better than what I originally thought it would be. Goaltending is looking good now as well (still young and question marks around them but i like what they've got going on there).
Left wing makes me want to vomit though. I hope that gets addressed at next years draft. |

I was not a fan of the pick at the time. When he started heating up i decided id take the time to actually watch him if his team played on local tv here. I've warmed up to the idea of him being part of our future. Still a long way to go though. |

I still can't believe they have 3 1st rounders and 3 2nd rounders next year. |

can't blame anyone for being skeptical about a 3rd rounder |

With such a varied (as in where the picks will be considering the teams) arsenal they have so many options to work with here. Hard to imagine them not picking up a very good piece in that draft either by trading up if need be or trading away for an established player. This assuming we don't land a big time player with our own pick. |

Or Murray can be like here is the STL first and 2 2nd rd picks this year. Who has what to offer me for that. |

That's what i was thinking of along the lines of perhaps moving them for an established player if you the guy you really want isn't there.
The one thing having this many picks does for the sabres is they now have the luxury of being extremely picky in the draft. Lot of assets you can juggle to ensure that you get what you need. |

Correct. The Sabres can use the STL pick and both of their seconds (Not their own) to get a young established forward. |

I think they only have two second rounders...one of them went to montreal for gorges, I believe
correction: that was the 2016 second rounder that went to mtl
the la kings 2015 2nd rounder acquired in the regehr trade was sent back in the fasching trade |
