Looks like he's got a nice shot. Granted, against Swedish competition goaltending wise, but you never know. - KGBflyers10

Wait....was there a shot of him partying in a suit, post game, with his hockey helmet still on after a big victory????? Or did I imagine that?
Already, I want to be friends with this guy. - johndewar
No it was real. Ahh the style of the French. Nothing like wearing a helmet when you know you are going to get wasted. Very continental. Hes like a guy from a mens league partying in his gear after winning a C division championship |

I found myself nodding in the affirmative through the entire lecture. - johndewar
I like the part where he said the chart was dynamic and the points slide around, or the woman could appear in other parts of the chart.
Wonderful how the guy kept a straight face through the whole thing

A whole poopload. Simmonds & Morin to start, would consider a high pick, as well |

An asset like P.K. will be expensive, 12-18 teams will likely make legit offers.
With that in mind, I'd offer:
Couturier
Streit
Hagg
2015 1st
Sign him to a 1 year, 7 mil deal and sign him to an extension during the season (a handshake deal could be done now)
If they still need cap room come October, move Grossmann and let one of the kids compete with Schultz for the last spot. |

Cap flexibility
At 8-9, they'd be in a tight spot for 14-15. They'll have more room to work with starting in 15-16. |

So you're saying sign him to a one year deal for 7M this year, and then a multi year deal for 8-9 during the season?

Thanks for looking up the stats! - FlyersGrace
You can see them for yourself here.
http://stats.hockeyanalys...ue&season=2013-14&sit=5v5
But CF% alone is far from the whole story. Pretty much every Flyers fan I've seen online agreed that Gus-Schenn was a better pairing than Meszaros-Schenn. And yet Gus- Schenn was at 48.1 CF% and Mez-Schenn was 49.8 CF%.
You might recall Mez-Schenn being a bit of a gong show defensively, and that is backed up by the goals for stat. Gus-Schenn had a healthy 58.1 GF%, while Mez-Schenn was only 48.4 GF% because that pairing let in 44% more goals per 20 minutes. That reflects a huge difference in the quality of shots allowed.
Mac-Schenn had an even lower GF% of 45.5%, but this was due to anemic goal scoring while they were paired together. They actually let in far fewer goals per 20 minutes than Gus-Schenn or Mez-Schenn did. |

I would be patient and wait the year or two for him to be an UFA should he not sign long term. I don't think giving up a player like Coots and some defense and possibly some picks/prospects helps us any. MTL is going to want the mother load for this guy.
A player like Weber or Doughty I would do it for, I'm just not IN LOVE with PK as alot of people are. |
