Jeff Tuel is going to have a 12-15 year career in the NFL simply by having good preseasons. - buffalofan19
I'd take it if I were him.

Tannehill threw 24 tds and 3900 yards last year.
I'd take that from EJ this year. That gives us a shot with our D and running attack |

The Bills would have won a Super Bowl if they drafted Marino instead of Kelly…. |

If you believe EJ has it in him, all the power to you.
Nothing he does makes me think after almost 20 years that they've finally found their guy. |

Thomas would've never became the player he became with Marino so I disagree.
Hindsight goes both ways.
That offense worked because of the harmony the guys Buffalo had.
Marino would've never worked with that. |

He left the field beating the Patriots in his first game with 3 minutes left
He drove 80 yards in 90 seconds with no timeouts to beat the Panthers in his second game
He beat the Super Bowl champs in his 6th game
You act like he came in and threw pick after pick |

That is something that I have never thought about. My opinion was always that Marino never had any receivers and Kelly had a HOF receiver. I never thought about Thurman and I think that you are correct in saying that. In my opinion, Thurman is the greatest Bills player of all time. And that mix of guys is what made it work.
Short story…played golf with Thurman at a charity event and it was asked why they lost to the Giants in the first SB. Thurman said because Jim wanted to be the guy and be the MVP. Thurman would go into the huddle and tell Jim "When you give me the ball, nobody is there", but Jim wanted to call pass plays instead. |

Bruce Smith is the best Bill of all time IMO.
James Lofton is up there too although the meat of his career was elsewhere e |

Smith and Thomas are both outstanding choices.
For me, though, it has to be Lonnie Johnson

It is a good debate. And Bruce could be considered the best of all time at his position, but Thurman won league MVP and changed the position (with a little credit to Roger Craig). |

A. You wouldn't last inside my head. Never try and do that or tell me how I'm acting cause you haven't a clue.
B. He is at best a game manager.
C. I have zero faith in that organization or any of the choices they make. It's been run like a Micky Mouse Organization for far to long to make me think otherwise.
D. Nothing and I repeat nothing EJ does make me go "WOW! that kid has IT".
E. This season rides on his performance and IMO he doesn't play more than 12 games.
F. I reserve the right to change my opinion when the new ownership takes over. At that point the Organization gets a clean slate from me. I reserve that right as a person who has paid (like most here) enough tax money to keep them here. |

You said nothing he did made him look like a starting QB. That's incorrect.
He has the tools, accuracy and health are a concern. He doesn't need to "wow" anyone for us to make the post season. We have talent all over the field, all he has to do is get better |

IDK how anyone could have Loften in the top 10.
He had one biggish season here at 35yrs old.
As much as he was a factor here, he was option 3 and 4 here. |

If anyone can find a video clip of Lonnie Johnson's punt fake against Green Bay in 1997, you are the champion of the internet. One of the funniest things I have ever seen…

Punt fake vs Green Bay? - rmiethaner
The game - I think it was against the Jets? - where Johnson was running down the field and was doing the typical "look at me, I'm-a-badass-about-to-score-a-touchdown strut", and one of their defensive players came out of nowhere to absolutely paste him was/is an all-time Bills highlight for me.
God, I hated him. |

Haha. Yes, it was a fake punt against the Packers. Darren Sharper was the returner who Johnson forgot about. |

He looks like a guy that will start because there isn't a better option.
That can be said for a ton of guys.
Doesn't make it right or that I should just sit tight and think all is well.
I don't like him as a player. I never liked the pick.
What this team needs is a leader, a soul back there and if he's it....... they're in trouble. |
