the tweets say Kimmo is stable and likely being released from the hospital tomorrow
- Marc D
Good. I just hope he's alright. He should really think about hanging up the skates. This is his 2nd time with blood clots.
Guy has given everything to this game and franchise.
Leaving this franchise in a tough situation shouldn't even be part of the equation in his decision. |

don't fool yourself. they'll never get whomever they covet in the draft, and they'll end up with a stiff. - hammarby31
You're kinda right, we would really need to suck to get a world class player, like FLD or BUF suck. Which I guess could happen. We would really need some things to "go" our way. Like:Vinny and RJ injury train, pinky finger of Mason to just fall off, Akeson to be our number one LW, AMAC to be our number 2 with Coburn our number one (actually that's reality!), Scheen and Coots to regress, Simmer to break his hand being our only gritty guy standing up for his teammates, Voracheck to get a new Lamborghini, G to go golfing again (notice I stayed away from cop jokes here- already old), Grossman to realise his knees are toast, Streit to anchor our first line PP (reality), L Schenn to play less then he already does, Read to not be out in a scoring role, and Rinaldo to still be on the team.

even if they were to suck that bad, they would end up getting none of MacDavid or Eichel. They will trade it for Weber, who will immediately fall prey to a quicksand trap. |

hahaha
But come on, we all know that Shea Weber would just grab the quicksand and smash its head against the boards. He'd most likely get ebola. |

No way Alt plays over Schultz. He's not THAT bad. I'm expecting him to be on the third pair most of the time, especially now with Kimmo possibly done.
Streit-Coburn is definitely an ideal first pairing. With Kimmo's injury, I think they'll try and balance out the pairings and keep them seperated to start the season. |

1.) Captain arrested for juvenile crime that he'll likely never live down in on-ice trash talk? Check
2.) Career ending injury to your best defenseman, who happens to be 39? Check.
Would someone please make sure Steve Mason is OK??? |

Even worse. At this point Alt has had a few yrs in the AHL, let's give him a go if one of our other prospects don't blow the doors off.
psssstt.. don't tell anyone but I think Morin or Ghostisbehere make the club out of the gate.
