Mine is actually 45 minutes of me convincing myself I'm not a twisted person as I tie the noose.

A lot of times when I'm playing on the hi hat and snare I'll look down and to my left, away from my kit. Why?

When I was a toddler or thereabouts and first started playing on my little "first act" kit, it was right next to the basement cinder block wall. The wall was painted white, and contrasted greatly with my shadow cast by the basement light. I thought it was cool seeing such a sharp shadow person playing a shodow drum kit, so I watched as I played. The shadow was cast down and over my left shoulder.

Now it's a habit.

And there you have it folks.

Not drums, but they're learning piano and guitar. Fortunately they have my wife's ability to learn music & not mine.

They have zero choice. My wife is a music therapist, her mom is a retired music teacher. They are playing some kind of musical instrument.
