Trading one or two of Hagg, Ghost, Alt, Morin, Sanheim, etc. is probably our best commodity to move right now. In return we get a player that is more prepared and further along but in the same position, which is what we need now. - flyler
That will be a regrettable move. |

I'd say his last season is 2016/2017. Sooner if they miss playoffs next year and the following year.
But like anything Flyers related, its like throwing darts.. |

I imagine he gets to play the John Stevens teacher/builder role for the next little while. |

The odds of everyone of the top D prospects becoming a top player aren't very good. Not impossible. I'd be open to moving one of them in the right deal. |

No I don't know anything for sure, just as you don't know that they will all turn out to be good players. |

With some time to digest. I like both the white and MDZ signings. Both are young players with histories of capable NHL production. For this team, it makes sense. If they come in and play well, flyers can have an opportunity to extend them to team friendly deals in their prime years ( in particular MDZ who is restricted)
It doesn't make much sense to resign an Adam hall type. He was never going to be a piece moving forward
I like Hexys plan. |

I'd have to say I'm not all blush with excitement over our coach but I'm not rooting for him to fail and get canned. I'm just not sure he's Hextall's first choice maybe and if things go south he could lose his job this season. Everybody better come in in shape.
For Christmas I'll take some cap relief and some excitement about the kids. |

I think we have to wait a while before we can judge Hextall. I hope first and foremost he doesn't trade draft picks for band aid rentals. That's a recipe for disaster.
Hextall didn't inherit a situation with enough cap space for him to go out and make any impact signings. The signing of Del Zotto happened out of necessity due to the uncertainty with Timonen. |
