Absolutely, I'm only including Couturier in a deal if a guy like OEL, Pietrangelo or Weber is coming back. - BiggE
Exactly.
Which is why Coots will remain a Flyer for a long time |

This year no, long term yes. Coburn has to be resigned in two season. With contracts for defensemen going up, no doubt Coburn is a 6+ million dollar defenseman on the free agent market. Brooks Orpik just got $5.5 at 33 years old so Coburn could even get $7 in two seasons. - psuhockey
Cap will go up, so maybe the percentage of the cap he takes up will be the same.
right now he accounts for about 6.5% of the cap.
bet the cap is at lest 75M in two seasons, so he would probably take up 8-9% of the cap. not terrible. |

Which is the real guy. The one who does a lot of Montreal rumors has been uncanny in getting some stuff right? I think, for example, his interpretation of the Subban negotiations sounded like they came straight off of the desk of Bergevin. |

Thought he was outed as a fraud. I just don't trust him. He can report bullpoop and there's no recourse for his actions |

Man, remember all those cardiac Lavi-Flyers vs Jets games? 80's time warp. |

Isn't he a UFA next offseason? If so, why would anyone trade for him right now unless it's a steal? |

Remember that time when, for a few glorious days, we all thought Shea Weber could actually become a Flyer? |

Vinny is not going to waive his NMC to go to Winnipeg.
No, but I'd probably think hard about Bogo for Coburn straight up... or AMac if they'd accept that instead. - Tomahawk
I would toss in a pick if they would take AMac. |

Possibly. But bogo by most accounts is a 2nd pairing type. So we have to give up a really good asset for yet another guy that's a 3-4 type on a market value contract for the future. Not in love with it |

I know. The epic Bryz "lost in the woods" game.
I think Prongers last game. He didn't look like himself all game |

True, but he is still only 24, and he put up some good numbers in his only full season. That's one of the problems, that he hasn't stayed healthy. But If (big if) he can stay healthy, there's still lots of room for improvement.
That said, I wouldn't make him a top priority, unless it's a solid hockey trade where we don't create more holes to add him. I'd rather go after a guy like Karl Alzner, honestly.
Edit: I would have been pillaging Washington all offseason long. |

Thanks Bill. I am trying to figure out what our 4th line would be. VL, White, and Rinaldo? Where would that place Raffl? On B. Schenn's line? I figured that Umberger or Akeson would be on the 1st line with G, and V-check. Your thoughts on how the line up should look like?
Would someone pick up VL please? I hate seeing so many centers, and a question mark still with the 1st line.
Thanks.

Are they still doing rookie camp? I know they used to do prospect camp in July, then rookie camp in early/mid-August (younger AHL players and some prospects/overseas guys), and then regular training camp. I'd be very excited to go to rookie camp, if they still do it. |

I'd be leery of it. B Schenn just signed a fairly nicely priced contract, and just had what may be a breakout season. Not sure I'm all about trading him for potential. |
