First of all, the Flyers only have 1 Simmonds. Typo, I'm sure.
Secondly, both players were seen as #1 guys when they were drafted. You don't draft a guy 5th overall to be a 2nd pair player. Neither player has lived up to his billing as of yet. Bogosian had one really good year in juniors, was rushed to the NHL. Taking all of that into account, along with his injuries and price tag, makes me stay away unless we're getting immediate improvement. I don't think that he's an immediate upgrade to our roster. I'd rather keep both Schenn's. - jmatchett383
I am not saying Schenn was not viewed as a 1st pairing dman but he was more seen as an Adam Foote. A thumper who could be a compliment. Bogosian is more of the Franchise type. Can contribute on PP, Shutdown pairing, PP. I think two very differnt types. I am not saying there isn't risk but to get that type of dman I see it worth it. I just think it is easier to replace forwards. So if I am moving B. Schenn in a deal for Bogosian I am ok |

I'll say this. While I like Bogosian to a point, the injury history combined with contract has me cringe. Brayden Schenn, for all of his inconsistency has a big chance this year if he can play consistently on Giroux's wing. Give the kid that chance, because we really don't know what his ceiling can be yet. You kind of know what you have in Bogosian. I'm sure if you really want Bogosian you could target him next year.
I'd like to see bSchenn given that shot first before trading him. Those of us from the 'Peg don't like trades apparently. |

TBH, I don't see WPG being that interested in B Schenn (or both Schenn Bros).
Couturier, Coburn, Voracek or Simmonds? Sure.
They need to make the PO's -- not sure the Schenn(s) help them all the much w/ the way the game is played out West. |

Trade no one. Stay the current course and continue to draft and develop our own D.
The end. |

They troll out guys like Tangradi, Peluso, Pardy and Ellerby.
They'd welcome both Schenn's with open arms. |

I don't think anyone would argue that. It's just that acquiring those players, especially with Luke going the other way in a deal, is just incredibly farfetched. |

With enough scotch in my system, I might even move Couturier for Rielly... |

Bill, could you see the Flyers aggressively pursuing Kevin Hayes, to give them the flexibility to possibly move another forward for a d-man? |

Yes...a guy who has the potential to be a good/franchise defenseman who has yet to shown any signs of doing so. If it was just $$ then sure, go for it. But $$ and good, hard assets...no thanks. |

The guy who had one good WHL system and a whopping 2 goals for Toronto last year?
STUD!
Dude is SO overhyped. Then again, he's only had 1 season, so I'll give him a pass. |

You're nutty. That kid's not overhyped at all. He had a very solid WHL rookie season and tore his ACL his sophomore year. His bounceback year is the "1 good year" you're referring too.
There's a reason why he wasn't in the AHL this year. He's that good. Most definitely a stud. I'd trade everybody on this team with the exception of G, Jake, and Cooter for him and in another year or two, that list might only include G. |
