I've read this concern in a few posts now, and I wonder where it comes from. I know he lost the Washington gig to Holtby because of an injury, and I know last year he was "injured" at the end of the season, but (i) I kinkda think the injury at the end of last season was not as bad as his time away might otherwise suggest, and (ii) even if he was injured twice, that doesn't feel like he's an eggshell guy, in any event. |

I was gone for the last 5 days I went home (Buffalo) for a few days. I am sure the latest Sammy Watkins catch was discussed.
A friend of mine is doing an internship at training camp with the Bills.
I'll pass along this interesting convo he was having when the catch happened:
He is the text he sent me:
"I was talking to Jim Monos, our Director of Player Personnel, he's right next to me in the video. Monos was mid sentence and just goes "ohh sh!t" leans back to look at Whaley and just says "it never gets old" Whaley replied "frank our first rounder next year"
Anyway, did I miss anything while I was gone? - Stripes77
I mean no disrespect to you, your buddy or your post, But "(frank) our first rounder next year"? Morons.

I think it was more of a who cares about next years first that they gave up to move up when it looks like they hit on their pick. Even if they are bad this year and the pick ends up being in the 6-10 range and Watkins turns into a stud I will say it was the right move. It all depends on the QB play which is nothing new. |

Again, I don't mean to argue this with you, my frustration is with the Bills, but its their job to 'hit their pick'. They are so inept at what they do they had to cash in 2 to get 1. Plus, its a 4 year contract. If they go 6-10 as you say(and they likely will), that's one year wasted. No first to draft a QB next year, that's 2 wasted. Third year if we're lucky we'll have a stud rookie(which will still likely suck as they most do), that's 3 wasted and by year 4 we might be competitive and by then Sammy and his agent are already thinking about the open market and getting the Buck out of Fuffalo. 2 wasted first rounders.

Only hope is "IF" they can't re-up Spiller, they find a team like Indy to give up a 1st for him. Other than that, you have a point. |

If I'm right that the "last 15 of 2014" for Neuwirth were not real injury, there pretty damn comparable.

I am not judging at all .
Just trying to help perhaps.
Do you really want to quit HC?
Start there because if you don't want to 100% you will keep falling prey, breaking down and finding excuses as to why you can't quit right now.
I smoked for over 25 years.
I have been nicotine free for 7 years now.
I did it with simple super double bubble gum.
I locked myself in the bedroom for a few days and when I wanted a cigarette I'd tossed a piece of that super double bubble gum in my mouth.
Crazy enough , it worked.
The flavor of that gum lasted about as long as a cigarette so it worked wonderfully and I still have all my teethe too.
Just trying to help if and whenever possible. |

I know - IF.
But here's the recap of the last game he played: he went "day-to-day" for a few weeks and then long-term IR with an unspecified "lower body injury" after this performance, without ever playing again.

Sorry man, I feel for you. I was a Copenhagen guy and I literally had to lock myself in my room when trying to quit due to little fits of rage. Damn near got in a fist fight with my little brother during that stretch haha. Good luck pal keep it up. It's just a matter of will power in the end.
Edit: It does get better. The first few months are the worst. |

He does.
He was a victim of a team continually trying for 8th-9th place.
The Caps are the Sabres of 2012, just with a legit superstar.
IMO they should have kept Nuevirth, and never tried to "sneak in" with Halak |
