Well, here's one more fact, since you appear to like them so much:
1. David Clarkson is signed for six more years and has a no-move clause. - AllInForFlyers
indeed he is. |

I wish Lamoriello signed him to that deal instead of the Leafs. Could be the worst contract in the NHL. |

Guys, it's not that it's entirely bad signing a bottom pairing d-man to a big deal- sometimes you have to overpay if you think a guy puts you over the top- I just think it was a poor decision to sign Amac to that deal when the team already has several bloated contracts. |

Thanks for the tip. I'll be sure to troll the Toronto threads with similar advice if I ever happen to completely run out of anything to do. |

I love the tip-toe trolling where this guy "politely" insinuates insults on the team but doesn't have the balls to actually say anything. directly. God bless those Canadian ethics.
I mean, you gotta give it up for fans who chant "DOMI! DOMI!" after he beats up a guy who's held down by a teammate and then hinds behind Tomas Kaberle when challenged to a fight after already declining 2 fights earlier. |

The team's 5M over the cap with 2 35+ contracts, and RJ&VL signed to over 9M... with both compliance buyouts used up. |

The Flyers don't have to do anything to be cap compliant but use LTIR Option 2. |

Use facts to prove AMac is a bottom pair defenseman. Please be complete and rank him in accordance with all other 180 starting defensemen in the league. If you don't, then you're just spouting off nonsensical bullpoop. |

And will be well under the cap on the first day of the season.
You have David Clarkson signed for 6 more years at $5.25M per with both of your compliance buyouts used up. But I guess that's no big deal. |

I'm sure he'll use some advanced stats to prove how much better all of Toronto's defenseman are without actually taking system fit and positional play into account.
But really, I'm curious to see the list of the 120 defensemen (minimum) who are better than him. |

Oh, the good old CORSI.
So, what you're saying is that Andrew MacDonals is the worst defenseman in the NHL? Just so that we're clear. |

I think we can all agree that we've come to these conclusions:
1) The Flyer's D is middling at best right now.
2) There's a lack of flexibility to fix it due to a couple of already bloated contracts and
3) Signing MacDonald was probably not the smartest decision because of said contracts and the inherent risk of signing a guy that the numbers suggest is a perpetual drag. |

among them, yes.
Hence calling him a bottom pairing d-man.
Any evidence to him being anything other than that? |

You have $360K of cap space with no LTIR candidates. That's not even enough for a short-term injury call-up. |
