I definitely cannot wait until the season starts and there are ideas and thoughts that actually drive conversation. Rather than the conversation being created in the comments. |

I think by saying "more to come" and then making additional posts, you violated the Hockeybuzz Code of Conduct.

What? Nobody likes "sick trade value" and references to songs from B-list canadian bands? C'mon!

Took me less than 2 months to forget we had Lemieux.
Too many good prospects - sbroads24
Hurley and Larsson aren't even in our top 20 and this is before the 5 good picks we nave in 2015. |

Dare I say that TM will end up trading one or two of these good young players at some point for some established talent (when we're ready for it)? |

@Tim Graham
Educated source once involved in Bills sales process says team is "Pegula's to lose" and Bon Jovi group is "unfocused and disorganized."

That will definitely happen and stockpiling prospects for that reason was most likely Darcy's plan as well. At some point, we're going to have a good grip of developed prospects and may be a few of the vets TM picked up this summer. We'll have to trade a Blue chip or two away to find that player or two that will make the Sabres a complete team....which I'm 100% on board with. I think that may have been a problem with the old "core" we couldn't get that last player or three that made them a REAL team rather than a hopeful one. TM gets to pick the best six or eight forwards out of this huge prospect pool and the rest can be trade bait. I think we're in good shape with D.

Say we end up with the 1st pick, and grab McDavid.
Then the Islanders end up with the 8th-12th pick (which is then ours, of course) and the Blues end up with the 17th-24th pick, per se (which, again, is ours).
Would the Isles, Blues, both 2nds and a blue chipper on D be enough to grab the 2nd pick from whoever, allowing us to draft both studs?
Would you do it? |

Maybe not the 2nd, but take a little off and we could probably get something in the 4-6 range, maybe 3. Still a great player there. |

I doubt teams will be trading the top 2 picks this year.
I can see the value in your trade if both picks are on the high end. But do you really want to give up Ristolainen to make this happen? |

I can do old school rap over 1990 and above country music.

Sure I would, but nobody else would. Did you see all the trade movement in this years draft? |
