Great blog, I never knew much about Schaller at all. I now like this kid a lot, we need positive locker room presences in Buffalo, Rochester and even in Elmira. New coaching staff and vets better get these guys in good shape.

Great article! Schaller really came into his own at the end of last season. Im hoping for big things out of him this year. Who knows, he might even make my sabres nhl 14-15 lineup...4th line of course with grigorenko and armia...

The idea that Etem and Kesler could be on a line together has me excited to see that team this year. If you add Heatley to that line, they have a little bit of everything and takes the pressure off of Heatleys inability to skate.

I think he will be skating in that 25 minute per game average. He should get time in every situation and if he buys into the Trottier mentality, which Nolan has as well, he could really have those numbers.

I thought the same thing. He was definitely a nice surprise at the end of the year. I don't know that there's a spot for him here, but I definitely like having him for Rochester.

Seems like piling on, but source close to the Bon Jovi group tells me there's "major tension" within. Partners not getting along lately...The Bon Jovi group has to be rooting for the Bills sale to wrap up soon. They need to be put out of their misery.

Thanks for doing blogs like this and giving us some idea of who some of these fringe guys in Rochester are. It seems like TM is very heavy on "Character guys"....players that have faced adversity all ready in their young lives, etc and overcame it. Sounds like a good trait to have when trying to build a contender.

Maybe. If he learns how to play defense.
