Wishing Timonen all the best, he's right that he has to focus on life before hockey. I talked to my doctor, who is a huge hockey fan, and he felt it was unlikely Timonen would be back before the All Star break, if at all. It sucks if this is how ta warrior like Kimmo has to go out.

Other note, Brian Dobbin is the last Flyer to wear the number seven, before it was retired for Bill Barber.

Get well soon Timo. As much as I loved your playing for the Flyers, Hang em up Timo. Don't risk anymore injuries, it's not worth it. You can always make a late season comeback for the Flyers , Or a cup contender. Don't rush anything.

And Brian Dobbin is a name I had not heard in a long time. I just remember how he used to light up the AHL and couldn't do anything at the NHL level.

I think if he officially retires he would have to wait one year to return to the NHL.

Yeah I don't think he retires, worst case he goes on LTIR, if nothing else changes though I see us keeping him on the roster so we don't have to use it.

I don't think he'll ever play again. He's going to be on blood thinners for a long time.
