i'm glad he didn't have much room to do anything. i want to see him work with his hands tied a bit, and let's see what we have. also...most of the contracts given out are just beyond stupid. we're usually guilty of that, often setting the bar, so it's refreshing not to see us tied to that stupidity. just think, bryz only has 12 more payments due.

and previously backed out of attending notre dame. he clearly had no intention of graduating, so he probably feels the increased game schedule of the ohl vs. 36 games in the ncaa is a better route for his development.

In regards to Hayes, I just don't care. Kid sounds like a spoiled brat who thinks that one good college season at the age of 22 entitles him to be a top 6 forward in the NHL. I hope whatever team does sign him sends him to the AHL just to teach the kid a little humility!

His best NHL bet is to go to a team with little or no forward depth.
