Even if he shows he belongs? You just arbitrarily want to send him back? |

In that case, you should try the drive from Toronto to Vancouver. I didn't complain once from Toronto to North Bay or from Calgary to Vancouver. In-between, was every hour on the hour. |

Unfortunately the only battles for a spot this year that I can see is Sbisa/Stanton for the 5/6 spot. I think weber has the other on the third pair and corrado starts in AHL. I want to believe Horvat has a chance but Vey guaranteed a spot makes this unlikely, best case scenario is if one of Higgins/Hansen/Matthias/Richardson/Dorsett to have a minor injury allowing horvat to get 9 games, if he shows he can play then a guy will be moved but I think without an injury horvat doesn't even get 9 and no trades before the start of the season.
Corrado no doubt will be a call up but unless this team carries 8 D he has no chance off being on the opening roster.
There might be a battle between Sestito and Archibald/jeffray for 13th fwd as well. |

No I didn't, my thoughts are he'd have to really perform poorly to not make the team. - LeftCoaster
Even if he Shiites the bed you think they will risk losing him to waivers? |

I'm really curious to see what benning does about Markstrom, does he just risk him on waivers and bite the bullet if he is snagged. I don't think he has much value right, goalie market is pretty flooded but I imagine some team takes the chance on him for free.
As much as the luongo trade isn't benning's responsibility I would be pretty disappointed if he loses Markstrom for nothing. |

I actually think he will be good as well, he has produced at every level. I just hate the the fact that Horvat could out perform him and it won't make a difference as Bennington can't afford to risk Vey to waivers if he isn't ready. |

He will be traded. Package deal with Hansen for rights for Burmistrov

I'm not so sure that a few regular season games will show that he belongs, he's never played 82 games against grown men. Everything I've read from OHL fans/bloggers/writers suggest that he should be sent back for one last season to work on his all-around offensive game and dominate junior offensively. They could be wrong, but I'd rather stay patient with him than risk rushing him, he cant even be sent down to the AHL either so there's always the risk he gets stuck in a limited NHL role or they burn the extra year off of his ELC if they send him down after those 9 games. |

I'd rather keep Hansen, everyone is down on him after he struggled under Torts and/or as a 2nd liner, but he's pretty solid as a bottom 6 winger. |

Can't say I like the value but I guess it opens up a spot for Horvat. I'm surprised you like Burmistrov, with him peacing out to the KHL and not being a good ol Canadian boy and all. |

I agree. Err on the side of caution unless he has a MONSTER camp, in which case re-evalute accordingly. But I'd rather not mess with a prospects development. I think it was DCT who recently said that, although there might not be many more things to learn from a hockey sense, it was the more the fact that Bo should return to jr and absolutely DOMINATE this season. I think that would be a great boost in terms of confidence/swagger.
Edit: just to clarify, I would love to see Bo have that monster camp and make it impossible for the Canucks to send him down. But anything short of that scenario, it would be better to have patience and let him come back stronger/more confident/bulked up next year |

I just hope they give him those 9 games if he earns them. A taste of the NHL will be good for him and will pump the fan base up. I'm not so convinced that 9 games with Horvat in over Matthias/Dorsett/Vey etc will make or break this season. |

I like Hansen in the bottom 6 a lot. Much prefer letting Higgins go. He has a Limited NTC as per capgeek.... anyone know the specifics? |

The #s and research say differently... but you can believe what you would like - kneughter
I'm assuming you speak of the research in what you yourself have transcribed over the course of what? A semester of 2nd/3rd year uni PSYC?
By all means, please do take a look at what the #s and research has revealed considering the subject over the last few years (decades). |
