Alright, I'll bite, lets say you did actually say something about him besides that he's good in the shootout. I apologize why don't you reiterate why Bertuzzi would be a good idea other than the shootout because I obviously missed it in your previous posts.

And yes you want competition but 4th liners don't move you into the "upper-echelon"

I said (for the third time now) that he would have to outplay Matteau, Bernier, Boucher, Ryder, and Brunner on the ice for it to make sense for him to be on the team.

I didn't know I had to go through specific player attributes for everyone.

At this point in his career he's a fourth line player with a front of the net presence. A less idiotic, more skilled version of Bernier. If he out skates, out competes, and out plays the other 3-4 guys then what's the problem? If not cut him.

Again with the reading comprehension, the comment about competition was obviously regarding a general philosophy.

I sincerely apologize if you somehow thought that I meant putting together the best fourth line in the league would lead to the Stanley Cup.

Not the point at all.

And you still haven't given any reason as to why you would give him a tryout other than creating "competition". From what you have said you could replace Bertuzzi with basically any name from the FA list.

And yes when suggesting giving someone a tryout generally you would give specific player attributes

And mocking my reading comprehension skills would hurt if it had anything to do with this

Kevin Hayes to the Rangers, I knew I didn't like him, now I have even more of a reason.

I mean... Ek employed Dee Karl and Garth for years. I'm pretty sure the bar is set pretty low. At least Todd puts in effort day in and day out to produce this stuff.

Don't worry we got Marty's sons who have pledged their allegiance to the devils lol hopefully they all aren't seventh round picks and to be honest the forward intrigues me the most out of the three brothers. (frank) I wish Stevens had a bad ass son who was awesome at hockey lol

Hayes sucks and isn't developed. He hasn't played on minute in the nhl or ahl and he's guaranteed top 6 minutes. This is great.

You got it! Competition is the reason! Good job. And yes, I'm sure there are other free agent options worth considering.

Now I know for next time that I will have to highlight player attributes for you.

Where did you get this info? That is not determined at all. Probably not going to make top 6. May start the season in AHL.
