They will throw the money at him once they see he is recovered from his surgery and his back is good to go. Ottawa is a great city and they are doing the right thing with building through the draft and developing players. Free agent frenzy is a joke and those contracts always come back to bite the team in the ass. If we are in the playoff hunt we have a extra second round pick and lots of prospects to pick up a couple players, if we are not in the playoff hunt we have some vets we can ship out for picks. I like what the Sens are doing they are buidling the team the same way we did through the late 90's into 2007 era. It's only a matter of time before we start spanking teams on a nightly basis again and Nashville will sure as hell be one of them.
