idk...I tried keep it factual...like all of those mentioned were/are in leadership roles and that they're perceived as high-character guys...
what's cool about that group is that they have a lot of skill as well |

Scouting sites made Yakupov come off as the next ovechkin. Eichel's great and all but he I don't see him being on that level. I see him as a first liner but no in that "future top 10 nhler" group. - Sabresfan-365
with mcdavid and eichel, might be the difference-- and please, this is only for comparison--between the attributes of gretzky and messier |

The fact that these guys have played at the highest level, with leadership roles and scoring big goals, is impressive. When players like McDavid say that they look up to Reinhart it's confirmation that he is ideal for us. Now it's time to see it for ourselves at this stage.
When Eichel talks about Compher, it's assuring that we have another guy to count on in the room. Then you "throw in" Risto, Zads, Baptiste, McCabe and Pysyk and we have the looks of a core that teams would dream about.
If you look at the core on some of these upper level teams, it's not as deep. It's a handful of players.
Ducks: Getzlaf/Perry/Fowler
Kings: Kopitar/Brown/Doughty/Carter/Richards - you can add a few like Greene, Martinez
Chicago: Kane/Toews/Seabrook/Keith/Hossa/Sharp
These guys are in the upper levels of their career and our young core is coming in with high levels of maturity and pressure situations. I cannot wait for our future. 2016 on up looks BRIGHT! |

Land both???? A little greedy... - whipper334
That's the dream though...
We literally have so many prospects projected to be top6 players, that none of us are even able to project what our lineup is gonna look like in 4yrs
Guys like Foligno could end up as 4th liners!
Even young 20goal scorers like Hodgson & Ennis might not have a place on the team
Ya, this season is still gonna suck, and probably next year too...
But the future does look pretty bright here in Buffalo |

I would make the trade but I doubt the team picking 1st would.
It would be like trading Tavares for Ryan and Turris. They're both good players but you know you'd take Tavares over them. - Sabresfan-365

What if:
We end up getting the 2nd and 3rd overall pick the of the draft? Would you trade the two picks to get first overall and would the team with the first do it? - gibby111
I wouldn't trade 2 & 3 for #1
Hannifin is being touted as a stud defenseman, or if we want another forward there's guys like Barzal & Strome
Unless McDavid nets like 80goals this year, I don't think the gap is that big between him & Eichel to also give up another future "all-star" type talent
I do think whoever has #1 would trade it for 2 + another pick in the top5 though |

It is unlikely that whomever is picking #1 would trade for #2 and #3. I know I wouldn't do that, nor would I want to trade both picks to move up. I think that in the scenario where we have #2 and #3 we will get great players that will fit in with what we already have.
Does Hannifin make Myers expendable? Sorry, couldn't resist. |

Depends on the draft year. In most years I would trade the number 1 pick for the 2nd and 3rd overall. |

I think this year, it would be a tough call. It would really depend on how Armia, Grigorenko and the other guys in Rochester are progressing. Would it be worth trading McDavid for Eichel and Strome/Barzal (sp)/Hannafin/the other highly touted Euro Defenseman?
Possibly if Reinhart/Grigorenko are proving to be a #1-2 centers. Otherwise it's hard to pass up the "generational" talent. |

It is, but eichle is supposed to be a close 2nd. U are right for buffalo it definitely should be quality over quantity but from what I've read about this years draft class, having the 2nd and 3rd pick might be better than #1 overall |

Absoultly not. Thats kinda like saying. Woudl you rather have Crosby or Getzalf and Perry. I'd take Getzlaf and Perry. That's how good the 2nd overall and 3rd overall picks could be in this draft. |

EJ freaking completely blows....the sooner they give up on bin the better..he is like a long line of other check down QBs. D's will drop 7 and let him have the 3 and 4 yard passes. His throws are very inaccurate when he does go past ten yards.
Bad bad bad. |
