Sometimes it only takes one trade during a season to go from average to a ligit contender, so I'm not sure I buy this. These guys are basically paid to stay in shape, so they should need to motivation outside of the money they make to do so.

I can pretty much guarantee that the players don't share that pessimistic viewpoint. I'm sure players such as Giroux and Voracek truly believe they have a chance to win.

I think he has a very good chance he's a beast & but he'll have the option of the AHL since if he went back to juniors it'd be an over-age season.
