I would have given it to Curt Fraser for yesterday. He was a big part of the team and damaged players he played against. Tough as nails and did scare the opposition since he knocked guys right out. |

Huh? If Bonino comes anywhere close to his point total from last season then he will get the keys to the city. |

I thought Jim Sandlak should have got a mention - wachry
Oh man, Jim "Sandbag" had the whole package and looked like he might be the second coming of Neely. Well, let's just say he didn't get the nickname 'Sandbag' for nothin' |

True. I don't think he deserved to be in the top three, but definitely should have been in the "other" section.
Apologies to "House" and his legion of fans. |

By the way, anyone also think the whole Sharks thing is a bit of a gong show? that is, stripping the C and A's off the current players prior to camp, but then stating that those titles were up for grabs based on the upcoming camp
Not sure I understand the philosophy or motivation for this. If anything, I think it undermines confidence and positivity in the core group of players.
What is the point of making a 'clean slate' of things, including the leadership 'titles'. Other than just being an unneeded stupid distraction for a team that should be focusing on putting their absolute best effort in a highly competitive division.
Anyway, just my $.02 but I just had to say there is so much mismanagement in the league that you would think the Vancouver Hockey Buzz board would look like 1,000 Bowmans and Babcocks in comparison. Alas, such as it is |

I am sure in SJ they asked Marleau and Jumbo Joento waive NTC . They probably said no so they stripped them instead.
if Burrows has only one or two goals after 15 games ,I. Can see them asking him to waive NTC again ,and if he refuses putting him on waivers.

SJ looks like they want to do a little rebuild/retool.
re: Burr, I think if he is healthy and underperforming he will waive... crazy business. |

Burr has earned the right, but he needs to be top 6 numbers. Higgins needs to move

I can in NO way envision a situation where Burrows would be booed. Even if he doesn't put up points, the guy is a consummate team player, gives it all every shift, and does whatever he can to help his club be successful (even if it's just being a sh*t disturbing forechecking dynamo and general huge pain in the a*ss), whether it's offensive minded or from a defensive perspective. In fact, I would say that he's earned almost a bit of legend/hero status for his over-time GWG against Chicago in that incredibly epic 7 game/overtime series.
I love Burrows, as I'm sure the majority of Canucks fans do. Like the Sedins, I'd like to see him finish his career as a Canuck. |

come on, are you actually serious? (ok, perhaps a dumb question but still....) that you would think Canuck fans would boo one of the most consistent, lunch-bucket, blue-collar, hardest working players on the roster? someone that brings it all every single shift? a guy that you LOVE to have on your team but hate to play against?.
I'd love to hear your thoughts on just what it would take for fans to do such a 180 on one of the favourite Canuck players for quite a number of years now. Because, as touched on, I don't see any such scenario that would entail fans booing one of the favourites.
In fact, I can see the Sedins being booed more so than Burrows (not that I ever expect the Sedins to be booed either) |

Higgie doesn't 'need' to go anywhere. the guy is a solid utility player and a good regular 3rd liner in this league.
Burrows is all heart and its guys like these who elevate their games in the playoffs who help win championships. Not too many guys are able to ramp it up a notch, but he's one of them. |

All I am saying is I can see fans booing if he doesn't play well. I am not saying he deserves to be booed ,I am saying they will boo. |
