While I can understand the projections(optimism) I can't see this team scoring more goals than the defending champs did last year.
Moulson-2
Hodgson- 2
Ennis-2
Gionta-2
Stafford/his replacement if he gets dealt-2
Stewart/his replacement if he gets dealt-2
Girgensons-2
Foligno-2
Flynn-2
Mitchell-1
McCormick-1
Kaleta- negative 6
Myers- herpes
Gorges- 2
Meszaros/his replacement when he gets dealt-2
Benoit-2
Risto-2
Pysyk-2
Weber/some rando-zero
About 187-200 depending on whether Reinhart stays up but I can't imagine them scoring more than that. - Sabresfan-365

To stay on topic with the Bills
Mike Schopp was right yesterday, if Manuel struggles no one will blame or remember the preseason. It means nothing.
I also like the Orton signing, but why wasn't it done a month ago? - sbroads24
It works both ways. A guy like Orton was always good enough to get a job somewhere and he knew it. It could very well be the case he didn't want to sign with anyone right away. Wait and see what opportunities come up. At best, an even better situation presents itself. At worst, you don't have to go through a training camp...and you still get paid. I think this was dictated more by Orton than the Bills.
Side note: I forgot that Nick Saban hired Lane Kiffin to be his offensive coordinator. I love college football. |

You're killing it, Pachla.
I remember watching the Sabres on the radio too, at night, under the covers, with the volume low so my parents could pretend they didn't know I was up past my bedtime.
That's right: I said watching them on the radio. If you never did it, don't criticize, you just cant understand. This is one of the reasons I know I am going to cry when RJ leaves the booth. - Der Kaiser
It's the only way I can watch 90% of the games. Unless the Sabres are playing out here, I am glued to the WGR app to hear RJ tell it like it is. |

Let me rephrase then. Why wasn't any veteran QB brought in?
Orton isn't some highly sought after player.
Bills never cease to amaze me. |

Perhaps the Bills thought they wouldn't need Orton?
Perhaps Orton thought he'd have a better option than the Bills? |

appreciate y'all...awesome group here
I should've qualified the projections a bit...
those numbers are high-end based upon a full 82-game season...if you factor in a 20% sabres-really-sucked-last-season deduction, you'll get the low-end...
please note--i'm not a mathematician...
and, as always, thx for your support |

I'd of liked it a month or so ago.
Same old BS with that Organization.
IMO they were afraid of having someone in camp that would take the job away from EJ. Orton would have done just that. Still might honestly. |

To be fair, Orton lost his job to Tim Tebow. I'm not sure he's capable of lighting it up and impressing anyone. I just think Thad and Tuel were awful and for whatever reason they felt they couldn't hurt Manuel's confidence by having competition |

With a capable line it wouldn't surprise me if Orton would go 8-8 or 9-7 with 3000+ yds and be in the 20-12 td to interception range.
He's no superstar but he is a capable QB. |

I feel the same way about Manuel.
I really don't think he's going to be one of the 1st QB's in NFL history to get worse his 2nd year. |

The season is going to be nothing but me hoping the Isles and Sabres lose, and the leafs miss the playoffs. We just need one of us to finish 30th and we're set. |

If we're talking 1st overall the evidence would suggest that if we want to win the lottery we should do anything but finish last.
I think as long as one of those picks is bottom 7 we'll be okay, seems to be a top heavy draft and anyone of those guys could be a big help for us. |
