I remember watching the Sabres on the radio too, at night, under the covers, with the volume low so my parents could pretend they didn't know I was up past my bedtime.

That's right: I said watching them on the radio. If you never did it, don't criticize, you just cant understand. This is one of the reasons I know I am going to cry when RJ leaves the booth.

I did it, too. And still do. Living on the far side of the world doesn't afford many chances to watch hockey, so I listen to some of the games through sabres.com. I was getting up every morning to listen in the 2005-06 and 2006-07 seasons. Now I will listen about once a week.

And Michael, I would also like to thank you for some fine blogs. It's a lot more enjoyable coming around here and being able to read well-thought out articles that are different from the mainstream.

I do two leagues. One is a keeper (one player) and one isn't. I don't mind it. However, I've had terrible luck and usually whoever it is that I keep ends up hurt and very unproductive for the season. So I apologize in advance to anyone who has Jimmy Graham.

The Bills were losing by 6 with less than two minutes in the game. Travis Henry ran around right tackle for 78 yards for a TD. For the first 58 yards, I was cheering for him to go, go go! For the last 20 yards, I was yelling "tackle that female dog." My fantasy opponent had Henry on his team.

In the same year, when the playoffs began, I realized I had no idea what teams were any good - but I could identify the top 15 QBs by fantasy points scored.

Since then, I only play last man standing.

I will always take a hit on my fantasy team for the good of my favorite team. To me, that's much more important. Playing fantasy has actually given me the complete opposite effect. I know much more about what other teams are doing than when I didn't play.

September and I have a love/hate relationship. I love that it's the beginning of football season and that hockey training camp starts, but I hate that summer is over.
