Just had Talisker single malt scotch, aged 25 years. It's part of a collection of scotch whiskeys bought as a gift for my grandfather. We got them in Scotland 15 years ago, and just cracked into it!
From left to right, we have Talisker (25 years aged), Oban (29), Glenkinchie (25), Dalwhinnie (30), Lagavulin (31), and Cragganmore (27) single malt scotch whiskey.

For me the fact Ryan is/was a local kid and a fan growing up helps. He made controversial comments nearing his end with the Ducks that he'd like to play for the Flyers, so there is some passion there. Now, is he the best and most suitable fit for the Flyers, probably not but he might be the best player available in 10-11 months and he may want to hear what the Flyers have to say first. I want a scorer to play with Giroux. Voracek is fine, I like him but he doesn't shoot nearly as much as I would like for a guy who is likely not to be separated from Giroux. Again, it would be great to pick up Kane with the Jets but we don't even know if he's available, regardless if the player is happy there or not. - SuperSchennBros
for me its this as well. i don't care about cherry hill. I like watching ryan play. he'd make a great flyer - as long as the price is right. |

The Flyers did grow a legitimate 1st line scoring Winger in Carter. Whom they used to acquire Voracek, who is also a legitimate 1st line scoring Winger. - MJL
James van Riemsdyk.
I can't help but feel like Hartnell's 37 goal season is what forced JvR out. I could now only imagine what a JvR-Giroux-Voracek line would look like. Sending Hartnell to go play with Lupul would br more ideal. |

Flyers just lost patience way to fast with jvr. He was a player I would like back out of the bunch of trades. But he was so inconsistent. He would absolutely dominate in a game and then disappear and just look lost and scared. For a good sized kid he seemed afraid of competition. He wasn't given enough time in Philly IMO. High expectations and never reached them and that's probably managements and coaches fault as much as his. |

Yeah hated that trade. Maybe and this is a big if - if Luke Schenn can turn into a Luke Richardson in his prime or a Jason Smith warrior leader type player it might be worth it but most likely probably not (IMO). Really wanted Roo/Reimer combo for years in the O+B. |

I feel JvR is doing well for himself being "the guy" in Toronto only second to Kessel. We never gave him the opportunities he deserved that he's now getting in Toronto. From my understanding JvR never missed a single shootout opportunity all last season. I remember during JvR's last season with the Flyers him playing the point on the PP in favour of having Simmonds or Hartnell in front of the net. I'm fine with Luke Schenn but this trade might come back to bite us. There were plenty of JvR moments in Philly that suggest he was a special player. |

For some guys it works. Eddie Olczyk had some really good years on his hometown team in Chicago, as did Chris Chelios.
Joffrey Lupul was a mess in Edmonton and a lot of it was blamed on him pressing himself too hard to be good for the hometown fans. |

29 goals last season, in 67 games. 94 points in 115 games. I'd say he's doing OK. Not up to where he was in NJ, but still, very solid play |

Wasn't he a little bit dinged up this season? Without doing the quick google, I'm pretty sure he was at the very least close to a point per game.
He's one of the best underrated players in the game. A lot of people overlook his magical skillset of offensive flare and defensive ability |

Sometimes going home is a nightmare, for others it's a breath of fresh air. So much was made of Eric Lindros wanting to play for the Leafs for so long, just for him to have a terrible season.

Ok, so I just actually looked at his stats. Hr was a tank in 08-09.
He scored at a 0.84 ppg clip this season in about 60 games. Needless to say, that's not exactly poopting the bed. |
