Las Vegas Royal would be pretty cool
I was trying to think of something along the lines of sin city. Las Vegas Sinners is corny. Las Vegas Sin lol
edit: I just looked at sports teams in that area and theres an indoor soccer team called the sin, go figure. |

Expansion? Deep talent pool? Look at the islanders and tell me there's a deep talent pool. There's about 12 legit awesome goalies in the league, the rest are jags, anyone who plays fantasy hockey sees this. |

You have to wonder if Seattle would take their WHL team's name and become the Thunderbirds. I think that would be an NHL-worthy team name. The logo's good, too, but with the Canucks as rivals they'd need to come up with new colours. Something along the lines of what the Sounders use could work.
For Las Vegas, I wonder if they will refer to the team as 'the Las Vegas ______s', or 'the Vegas ______s'. Just calling them Vegas and dropping the 'Las' from the team name could make some names ring more naturally. I'm partial to the 'Las Vegas Blackjacks' right now, though I admit I'm stumped as to a good logo concept for the name.
Toronto seems like a slamdunk for the Huskies, as long as the Raptors would be okay with it.
Quebec City being the Nordiques is almost a given at this point, I'd imagine. I'd be truly shocked if they went in another direction. I just hope that they keep the old colour scheme and the fleurs-de-lis trim. A new primary logo is all they need. |

Using the Isles is a pretty bad example. Maybe 4 or 5 years ago. |

Theres already a team there called the 51s. Maybe blackjack related, they can call them the "21s?" |

Look at how many veterans are without contracts, look at the classic tweeners in the AHL just waiting for their NHL chance with teams that won't move proven assets to give them that opportunity, and guys that have resorted to playing in Europe. Also factor in the European league stars that could make their way over as a result of expansion. There's ample room in this league for another 100 or so players (and that's not taking an expansion draft into account). |

I like the Aces. But you just know it'll be the Las Vegas Jackpot. Gotta advertise for the city you know. |
