I like the Aces. But you just know it'll be the Las Vegas Jackpot. Gotta advertise for the city you know. - yzermaneely
Aces would be cool....if they use the spade it would make a cool logo.of course people would say they colour scheme is too LA Kings. |

Toronto Edge
like the edge of a blade, Niagara falls edge, Edge walk CN tower, cutting edge, an edge on the competition, intense, and sharp.
I see there is already a radio station named that, but shouldn't be a conflict. |

I don't think this league needs any expansion, they need to move some less profitable franchises, which they always seem to balk at doing. |

I agree. With rumors having Carolina (a team with 3 deep playoff runs AND a cup to boot in recent history) going to Las Vegas, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to see that some teams are suffering financially. |

I realize it's not all that easy to just up and move a franchise, but if you are considering expansion then either there is an existing arena in place and a market, or you are gonna have to build new regardless.
Maybe they should try a team in Atlanta . . . |

not sure as to why the 4th largest city of 6 million people in the U.S. and the only top 10 TV market not to have a team Houston, TX is not getting serious consideration for an NHL team. Oil & Gas (i work in the industry) is big here and with a lot of Canadians and foreigners from cold oil nations doing business and living here. this would be an excellent city to have a team here not to mention already have a facility that will seat 18,000+ in Toyota Center, not to mention the rivalry between Dallas & Houston in every other sport this would seem to fuel that fire even more with another franchise sport here. |

Houston came very close about 15 years ago....had a buyer ready to move the team from Edmonton had it not been for a few dozen local millionaires chipping in to keep the team here.
