Tyler Ennis also played his time out in Juniors then won Rookie of the year in the AHL adjusting to playing against these bigger , stronger , faster players.. It is a big jump from the CHL right to the NHL . There is no doubt this kid will be a great one . Why the rush to subject him to getting manhandled. - Maximum Signal
There is no rush but you're only willing to see one side of it. It's also very possible that he steps and does just fine |

I'm amused that you completely disregarded the fact that Kane made the jump just fine. Did I mention he's SMALLER than Reinhart currently is? He's also one of the most dominant players in the league. But, I digress. Reinhart is gonna get destroyed out there. Because you said so. |

Because at 6'1 180 he won't get manhandled.
The only thing he needs to learn is how to absorb a professional body check, and how to avoid them at this level. - sbroads24
Players are bigger , stronger faster . Why rush an 18 year old into that when his body is still developing if you do not have to?

Did he elevate himself against all the other prospects and show he was ready for the NHL ?If the kid is in the least bit not ready in every capacity . Why have here. To sell more jerseys ?
I don't want to see him here just placate folks . And like you I do not want playing 10 minutes a game on 4th line . When he could be in junior playing 25. - Maximum Signal
Maybe you don't think he did, but you're not one of the coaches. You have no idea what they're going to do with him. I'm willing to bet that at this exact moment, they don't know what they're going to do with him yet. |

So because he didn't dominate in a summer camp he doesn't deserve to be hear. I don't recall Monahan dominating in camp last year but he certainly earned his chance and he had a pretty good rookie year. |

That's just it, its such a small sample size. Lets see what he can do against NHL players in an actual game and then they can decide where to go from there.

He will be 19 a month into the season. Also, you nor I know just yet whether he would be rushed or not. Only camp will tell.
Also, how much more physically "ready" will he be between ages 19 and 20? |

Kane is a different player than Reinhart . I just don't get the rush folks are in if it is not necessary . I would like to see him at world juniors and get more confident . We will see him at camp and exhibition. There is no dishonor in going back to junior to get bigger. Sure did not hurt Drouin . Now he is ready to step into a more signifigant role right away. If the kid looks like he fits in fine . only if.

No ,do you ? I don't want him in a roster spot unless he definitely can . I don't want him kept here to sell jerseys . I want him kept here if he plays on a regular basis and shows he deserves to stay here. |

That's all im saying, why dismiss him before we've even seen what he's got? If he's earned his keep let him stay up. If not then like you said no shame in spending another year in the CHL going for the memorial cup, playing for your country in front of the home crowd. |

I agree with all that
I think most of the young forwards also stay in Rochester
The one who has the best chance to make the Sabres IMO is Larsson... His style of play works on the 4th line to start, and then he can be moved up the ladder as his play dictates that he's ready (similar to Girgensons)
Guys like Reinhart, Armia, Grigorenko, etc need to be at least top9, maybe even top6, or it's pointless for them to be here...
We saw that with Grigorenko
And I can't believe Murray would make the same mistake knowing the setback it can cause - jdfitz77
Wow nice to see someone with a brain with a good take. You are right about Larson. He put up good numbers in Rochester and while he didn't score in Buffalo he can definitely help this season in a 3rd/4th/PK lines. It will be great to see what Armia(2nd season) can do in Rochester starting the season healthy and giving Grigorenko his first full season in the AHL, where he should of been the last 2 seasons if rules allowed it.
As far as the continued talk on Reinhart goes, I think the wise move would be letting him go back to juniors and play in the junior worlds as well. It saves a year on his entry level deal and gives him a chance to captain a loaded Canadian junior team. I for one, as a greedy fan, would love to see him play in Buffalo. But there is no rush. 2015-16 is the year I can see the young kids starting to contribute and Murray starting to be even more aggressive setting up his team via FA/and trades! |

There's no reason he can't be with the NHL team and still play at World Jrs. If the team is willing to loan him during the time frame, he absolutely can go. And just because Drouin went back, doesn't mean we should do the same with Reinhart. It's a completely different scenario here compared to Tampa. You're comparing apples to oranges. And even if you try and compare him to his brothers, it's already been said he's the best of the 3, and one of them is a defenseman. And we all know defense takes longer to develop to begin with. |

All I have been saying . But unless he is 100% ready for this level in every aspect of the game . Do not keep him here just to have him here . Another player that might benefit from some time in the AHL . But the CHL-NHL transfer rule will not allow that.

no 18-19 year old is going to be 100% ready. You have to give them time to adjust, and preseason isn't quite enough. Especially since half the roster of each team during preseason are guys that will go back to Jr and the AHL before the season starts. |

I don't get you . Do you just want him here to buy his jersey . If he is not ready to be here . Let's get him crushed so we can say he is here . Glad Tim and Ted do not think that way . If he belongs here , fine and plays 14 - 18 minutes a game . He should stay . But to keep him here to play 4th line and 8 to 10 minutes a game . No . Better off in junior . |

You need to read better. I have said if he deserves to be here and is going to get real minutes fine . But don't keep him here to be a prize pony and sell jerseys and get 8 to 10 minutes a game . Then he is better of in junior .

I don't get you either. Do I need to put that what he does in camp is what should determine whether or not they keep him here for at least 9 games in a language other than English? Because I've said it about 20 times now. I even capitalized it and put it in bold about a half hour ago.

You need to take your own advice.
And where did I say I want to buy his jersey? Oh, wait. I DIDN'T. Stop putting words in my mouth.
BTW, my reading comprehension is just fine. I have a bachelor's degree in English. So if there's one thing I can do, it's read. |

I guess having an MBA . I have learned to read as well . And folks are just not willing to accept the option of him going back to junior if he is not ready physically. I think he has a great future but do not see the need to rush him in if he is not going to play regular minutes and be ready for the physical aspect of the NHL game. |
