Think someone would want Stafford at the deadline?
I sure hope Ellis is not an every day player this year. Not a big fan of Flynn either.
No Grigorenko? Larsson?
What about Reinhart? - bflobillww
He's got it right. Grigorenko spends the season in Rochester. Reinhart gets 9 games. Larsson, who knows?

Armia is a ? I bet they offer stafford a 4 year 4 mil contract. Gives buffalo enough time to find someone better either by draft or by free agency and not a terrible contract either. |

Buffalo is deep with defensive prospects but most of them are gonna make the team in the near future. I wonder if buffalo tries deslaurier back at his natural position as a defenseman. The guy is 230lbs at 6 foot 1 ish and can skate. Although if we wanted a thumper of a dman we would have kept mcnabb... |

He seems to get it from what he showed last season and its still gonna be 2-3 years before the youngins are (hoping) stars on this team. |

Meh McNabbs foot speed never improved which was a major reason he was expendable. we have some better big bangers in the system
Great writeup again michael. I'm a huge Matty Moulson fan too, and love the fact he returned at a very reasonable contract. He doesnt score with speed, he scores in the dirty areas, dont expect drop off from him. He played hard at both ends for the Sabres, so no worries there. I think he was good for ennis and some of the younger guys too.
Win win. |

Not sure I see that. Although I liked McNabb. We had a glut done prospects in that age range and he was the slowest. The two seconds were something but we have so many picks we need to move some in order to be able to sign these prospects in the future. Deslorian is a nice utility player. That will fill the roster and not hurt us. Gas bing was a guy that TM coveted and he added an offensive prospect which is something we needed.
That all said too early to tell but I can't see how you think we lost it yet |

I don't count that. It's not on every year.
And honestly, football and hockey are still way better, IMO. |

Michael Pachla: Building the opening day roster--LW, Matt Moulson - Michael Pachla
Nice read
Moulson is a hard working player with average NHL talent which, due to his ethic, makes him a great NHL story
Vanek has all the talent in the world to be a consistent all star and because of his lack of desire to be the very best, is an occasional token player in an all star game |
