Okay, but judging by your name you don't exactly have the best track record when it comes to predicting the future.

skinner and lindholm are their only players of any value atm. as long as you have the staal sisters as your two pivots, this team is destined for failure. most overated players in the league.

add that with arguably the worst defensive core in the league and a shaky goaltending tandem, you could very well be looking at a last place finish this year

Let's do a prediction per team so everyone's happy.

Ducks - Gibson and Andersen win the Jennings / Silfverberg proves why he was the centerpiece in the Ryan trade
Coyotes - Finish bottom 5 in the league but Gagne gets 60+ points
Bruins - Eriksson's play seriously drops but the slack is picked up by Smith
Sabres - Finish last in the league but lose the lottery again and draft Eichel
Flames - Goaltending is solid but the loss of Cammi hurts more than anticipated
Hurricanes - Finish bottom 5 in the league and do a fire-sale at the deadline
Hawks - Great play from Saad and Leddy make fitting under the cap next season a nightmare
Avs - Goaltending and defense are HUGE issues in comparison to the elite level that their forwards play at
Jackets - Johansen is a hold-out for 15 games but still breaks his personal bests for goals and points
Stars - Goaltending and defense cause them to underperform until the trade deadline sets them up for a solid playoff run
Wings - Both Nyquist and Tatar break the 60 point plateau
Oilers - Another poor season forces them to move one of their previously deemed "untouchables"
Panthers - Do NOT finish in the bottom 5 in the league thanks to Luongo mostly
Kings - Doughty gets 55 points and wins the Norris by a landslide
Wild - Vanek and Parise both score 35+ goals
Habs - Nothing goes right for most of the season and they just miss the playoffs in 9th seed / Therrien gets fired mid-season
Preds - Neal gets traded again after his attitude gets him ousted from the team
Devils - Schneider proves that he's worth the money and finishes as a close second for the Vezina
Isles - New additions of Halak, Grabo, and Kulemin all pan out well
Rags - Zuccarello gets 70+ points
Sens - Finish bottom 5 in the league / Anderson does not live up to the money
Pens - Jordan Staal comes back in a trade that sets them up for a strong playoff run to the conference finals
Sharks - Stalock takes over as number 1 despite solid play from Niemi
Blues - Win the Stanley Cup with Elliott in nets and Stastny winning the Conn Smythe
Lightning - Drouin proves people wrong and has a poor rookie year due to an immature attitude on the ice that limits his role on the team
Leafs - Finish bottom 5 in the league despite amazing play from Kessel and Bernier
Canucks - Horvat makes the team and is nominated for the Calder
Capitals - Finish 6th last in the league for so many reasons (injuries, goaltending, giving up, etc.) but win the lottery and draft McDavid
Jets - Trouba gets nominated for the Norris after putting up 60 points

1. Stl - Berglund with a career offensive year.
2. Ana - Getzlaf, Kesler and Perry carry the team to a division title. Heatly’s biggest contribution is not getting into a car accident.
3. SJ - Marleau starts to drop off offensively.
4. Col – E. Johnson with a career year. Briere will be in the press box more than on the ice.
5. AZ. Erat mans up and retires before Christmas.
6. Edm –Big improvement, but goaltending holds them back from the playoffs.
7. Wpg – Upgrades their goaltending early in the year and makes the playoffs.
8. Dal – Seguin and Benn with big offensive years but can’t do enough to get this aging roster into the playoffs.
9. Van – Sedins put up 110 points …….. combined.
10. Nash - Jokinen, Riberio, Roy will be up for consideration as the worst trio of ufa acquistions in recent history ….. but nobody will notice and nobody will care.
11. TB – Bishop wins the Vezina.
12. Bos – Lucic with a career year offensively.
13. NYR - Brassard, Hagelin and Stepan with career years
14. Mtl – Desharnais with a career year, Plekanec falls off the map.
15. NJ – Schneider carries the team into the playoffs.
16. Clb - Dubinsky with a career year offensively.
17. Phi - Voracek, Simmonds, Giroux with career years, but Philly just misses the playoffs.
18. Tor - Transition year. Nonis and Carlyle fired once evident the team will miss the playoffs. Big roster overhaul yet to come.
19. Ott – Finishes with 80-85 points.
20. Car J. Staal with a career year.

you could have gotten away with saying 6 of the 7 teams in the central will get close to 100 points.

Twenty Wacky Predictions for the 2014-2015...

1. No team in the Central Division will reach 100 points.

2. Only three Central Teams will make the playoffs with The Avalanche, Jets, Preds, and Blues all out at the end of the season.

3. The Los Angeles Kings will battle the Pens and Habs for the President’s trophy.

4. Michel Therrien will win the Jack Adams Trophy as Coach of the Year.

5. The Flames will edge out the Panthers in the race for McDavid.

6. The Maple Leafs will miss the playoffs again after a close battle with Boston for the final spot.

7. Brad Richards will put up 90 points in Chicago as the Hawks second line Center. However the Hawks will be eliminated after round 1 of the playoffs.

8. Martin Brodeur will land back in NJ when their goalie goes down to injury. His first game will come against either Philly or NY.

9. The Blue Jackets will come flying out of the gates but miss the playoffs and be an absolute disaster. Only three teams will make the playoffs in the Metro Division as well, with the Penguins winning the division…but also be a playoff dud.

10. The Islanders, Penguins, Rangers and Flyers will end up within 5 points of each other and battle for 3 playoff spots.

11. Steven Stamkos will re-injure his leg with Jonathan Drouin leading all scorers in the AHL by 20+ points.

12. The Minnesota Wild will miss the playoffs. No doubt.

13. Edmonton and Calgary will be in tight battle until the end, but only one will have a shot at last overall.

14. The Capitals will take one huge step forward. This season could see them go all the way, but at great cost for years to come. A much less stable force.

15. Nashville is the longest odds to win the Stanley Cup. 75-1. If you are a betting person, remember they finished 3 points out of the playoffs last year WITHOUT Pekka Rinne and they have Shea Weber, Seth Jones, added more offense and Peter Laviolette has a great track record of making sudden and dramatic impacts. And we all know what the odds are when the odds are 75-1, right?

16. Kesler will have a mediocre season in Anaheim.

17. Nathan MacKinnon will be in 6th in NHL scoring this year and battle Evgeni Malkin next year.

18.The Panthers will move Jussi Jokinen for a second round pick at the deadline.

19. Claude Giroux will finish second in team scoring behind Jakob Voracek and will not be at the All-Star game in Columbus.

20. Kimmo Timonen will not play this year...Philly will miss the playoffs.
