Alright, you might not be entirely insufferable then.

Yeah, won't deny mixed drinks in general can be tasty...but pretty much all decent brands taste so damn good on their own, I find mixing to be a waste.

There's enough decent value whiskey's available in all styles of Bourbon/Rye/Scotch/Irish that you can get something good enough to not worry too much about dragging the bottom of the barrel for the most part i think.

my luck has been really good the last few weeks.

first four roses and now buffalo trace. i finally got to try it at a bar yesterday and it is absolutely my new #1.

so good. it's smooth and sweet and has like zero heat to it. and it's the first time i've ever understood people talking about "the nose" because it even smells great.

i also tried angel's envy which was very good but not as good IMHO (!!!) as the buffalo trace (which is awesome because buffalo trace is like 15 bucks less per bottle).

i'll keep trying new stuff but i think these 2 i have tried the last two weekends are going to be my go-to bottles that i always want to have in the house.

oh, one more thing. i had johnnie walker green for the first time and there's no way it's worth what they charge for it.

it's okay at first but that aftertaste is definitely band aid.
