Plus the workers at that still are on strike.

Lot 40 is very good, probably the best of the Canadian Ryes

Jack's is poop, but the gentleman jack and the single barrel are both nice sippers

bought the washington wheat which was a bit pricier than i was expecting at $43 and re-upped my buffalo trace supply because i've been saving the last bit of eagle rare in that bottle to compare the two.

i will update you all shortly on the washington wheat.

i dunno, guys. i think this washington wheat might be an acquired taste kind of thing. either that or i got a slightly "off" bottle.

not saying it's bad. i can drink it and i've had worse whiskey. but there's a taste about midway through that i can't put my finger on but i feel like it isn't supposed to be there. i'm looking at a bunch or write ups on the whiskey and nobody else is mentioning it which is why i think it may just be my bottle. i've had the bernheim wheat whiskey and it didn't have this foreign taste so it's not the wheat.

other than that, it's sweet and extremely light and smooth and it'd be easy to drink all day because it's only 80 proof. there is no burn. it's as light or possibly lighter than irish whiskey or even canadian whisky.

maybe i'll get used to it and love it but for right now i'm struggling a little bit with it because it just doesn't taste like whiskey to me.
