it's just a great sweet taste. also, i could never figure it out before but it has come to me recently that there is a bit of a "tea thing" going on. in the smell and in the taste. not like nestea or snapple or something like that. it's like brewing your own tea in a pot. hot tea or iced tea, either way.

anyway, i'm pretty sure this is my favorite bourbon, which is awesome because it's only $26.99

of course, i am going to taste the eagle rare in a moment and then that might be my favorite bourbon.

bought the washington wheat which was a bit pricier than i was expecting at $43 and re-upped my buffalo trace supply because i've been saving the last bit of eagle rare in that bottle to compare the two.

just entered my washington wheat notes on the spreadsheet™.

disappointing to say the least. i'm halfway through the bottle and i got a little more used to the weird taste but it's still a foreign taste that i would categorize as "off-putting" at best.

this is the kind of thing where i'll want to try it again to see if i got a bad batch but i know i never will. especially for 43 bucks.

Whoa. I got a bottle of Elijah 18yo in Miami about 3-4 years ago for like $50 US I think. There was a bottle of Pappy 20yo there for $250 at the time. They've really jacked the price on that elijah18.
