all empty envelopes. bills are paid in full.

some of the notes are important. like one is actually about the jack daniels green label and how much i could expect to pay. it was for my research. my spreadsheet.

i find that i am enjoying this green label thingy quite a bit.

two/three small ice cubes or one/two big ice cubes but no more than that.

it isn't hot so there's no whiskey face. it is kind of smooth and just has a taste you can really sit and enjoy.

sometimes you find yourself just swishing it around in your mouth not wanting to swallow it yet (code).

FRANKFORT, Ken-- Another iconic bourbon brand in Kentucky has been targeted in a heist, but this time authorities say they have arrested a suspect caught with the stash of whiskey in his backyard.

Franklin County Sheriff Pat Melton said Thursday his deputies recovered five barrels filled with bourbon. He says the barrels were taken from the Wild Turkey Distillery in nearby Lawrenceburg.

The sheriff said one arrest has been made in the ongoing investigation.
Melton said each barrel is valued between $3,700 and $6,000, but Wild Turkey officials took samples to determine the exact worth. He said labels on each barrel had been spray painted.

He can't yet say if the heist is connected with the unsolved 2013 theft of Pappy Van Winkle bourbon and rye whiskey. That hard-to-get whiskey was taken from the Buffalo Trace Distillery at Frankfort.

Serves the bastards right. That stuff is virtually unaffordable for the average bourbon drinker now.

Let me know if this is any good.

I've got a few shots left of their other offering which is a blended bourbon. It's nothing special, and overpriced because the LC treats us like morons here.

On that note, Ontario LC brought in Prichards Double Barrelled Bourbon and decided $128 was a reasonable price for a bourbon that has largely been poop upon in every review I've read.

currently just sipping from a shotglass next to a shotglass of the jack daniel's green label to compare.

haven't tried with ice yet.

has a little more kick and heat to me than the jack daniels but definitely has a nice interesting taste.

definitely worth the $23.99 (and i'm sure it is even a little cheaper 3 miles down the road but i was too lazy to get back in my car).

will report back with ice later.

i saw the high west in the store just now so i know it is obtainable.

but it was a little pricier and from everything i'm reading i am really really going to like it, which may render my entire spreadsheet obsolete, as i will stop trying all these new things and just start buying bottle after bottle of the high west. and i don't want to stop trying these new bottles yet because this has been fun to me. i am easily entertained.

so i know it's there and if i can fight it i want to try the four roses (which i also finally saw) and W.L. Weller Special Reserve (if i can ever find it anywhere) first.

i can tell you, however, that i am a super nice guy and if i had seen your post before i went to the store i'd have bought the high west so i could answer your question.

very good with the ice. 2 reg sized cubes.

kind of takes away any heat at all until the very end of the sip and then it just kind of burns on your tongue a little bit, not really in your big fat belly. and i think i taste like apple or something now.

i like it. it's spicier than the jack daniel's green thing but i like both and will buy both again.

I've been trying to get my hands on the WL Weller Special Reserve for quite some time with no luck. The 12 year old is very good, I can only assume the Special Reserve is even more spectacular.

The wheat/corn mash bourbon's tend to be a bit mellower and less spicy than the rye/corn mash.

Weller, Pappy, 4 Roses Single Barrel all have a similar wheat mash and are right in my wheelhouse.

Bernheim makes a decent wheat whiskey too.
