How is Bulleit Bourbon Frontier?

I bought a bottle because it was on sale and I want to know if I should keep it or use it as a gift for someone.

what kind of freakish willpower do you have that you can have a bottle of bourbon that you've never tried and even consider giving it as a gift and not cracking it right open?

Bulleit is a decent bourbon. Heavier on the rye mash than other bourbons, so its got a bit of spice too it.

Drink it.

Any of the Wild Turkey offerings above the standard 81 proof are usually good.

None of them are exceedingly great, but they're enjoyable. Rare Breed has always been one of my favorites, but i haven't seen it up here in at least 6 or 7 years.

with each passing dram of the crown royal fancy thing i am liking it a little bit less.

it's not necessarily bad but i may just not be a rye guy.

northern harvest.

i liked it a lot at first but i've soured on it a little.

it's not just that. i'm having trouble going to the redemption rye bottle now as well.

i have buffalo trace, four roses single barrel, and bernheim in the house, so it's making it extra difficult to turn to the ryes.

but for what it's worth i had a gentleman jack after the northern harvest and enjoyed it more. so i may be getting out of the rye game as something i buy to stock.
